Apeejay School of Management organizes Mini Marathon

 ‘Stay Strong Stay Long’
A Mini-Marathon with the theme  ‘Stay Strong Live Long’ was organized at
Apeejay Campus, Dwarka on Sunday, November 13. The effort was to sensitize the
community particularly the residents of Dwarka about the need for eating right
and benefits of exercising regularly  in order to lead a long and healthy
life.

Adholeya and Dr Alok Saklani, Director, Apeejay School Of management flagged
off the marathon. Hundreds of students of Apeejay and different schools,
faculty, staff of Apeejay School of Management and Apeejay Institute of Mass
Communication and also the residents of the Dwarka housing societies
participated in the 6.5 kilometer long marathon. The participants were from age
three to late eighties who shared the same enthusiasm and spirit regardless
their age.

Addressing the
participants, Dr Saklani highlighted the importance of eating well and regular
exercise. He also suggested to gradually transcend  the sedentary kind of
lifestyle. He valued the efforts of the Apeejay Institutes in organizing such
functions on a regular basis as a part of their social commitment.
At last the
winners were given prizes in different categories with Mr. Krishna bagging the
first prize and Mr. Ankit bagging the second prize in the open category.
Sherbahadur won in the school student’s category. Mr B P Doval who is 86 years
old, surprised everyone by winning in the Senior Citizen category (above 60). Ms
Shweta Jha, who is a faculty at Apeejay School of management, won in the women
category.
