Be careful in sending messages…

Dr.M.C.Jain

We all know that scientific development in the country has changed the way or our living altogether. This, we often see and feel when we compare our way of living specially in flashing out/or sending our message via electronic media which includes internet, face book , whatsapp , text messages or mails etc. etc. This is a good development in the modern age but it becomes painful and punishable when messages are sent using a very filthy, harmful, indecent or obscene language to someone publicly or in a group so formed. The motive behind of sending such type of messages is to take revenge, or to insult or to disgrace the others in the eyes of family, or members or community or Samaj and so on. Sometimes it is felt that the sender of the messages crosses all the boundaries and limits of moral values, manners, rectitude and probity which, we all know, are against the norms, decency and ethics of morality and also law.

Now a days we all are sending messages via either mails, or face book or whatsapp etc etc to our friends, to the individuals/or in the group so formed for the purpose. We also know that group (s) is being formed/created by a single person and he or she becomes its Admin and later on he or she authorizes others to be its Admin also. But in all cases the creator of the group is considered as main Admin and is responsible for all cause and affects if happens otherwise.

Sending messages to any one via any mode using filthy and indecent language may invite trouble to the sender and the Admin too. Such of his or her act is dealt as per the Cyber Crime Law under various Acts of law including Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. He or she may be punished on first conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years and with fine which may extend to one lakh rupees and in the event of a second or subsequent conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years and also with fine which may extend to two lakh rupees.

It is my earnest appeal to our friends, members and known in person and all in large to please remain careful while sending their messages to anyone including in the group. It is also appeal to the Admin (s) to see that in her or his group no one plays any such act which may invite him or her in trouble.
