INTERNATIONAL WORKER’S DAY CELEBRATED AT THE INDIAN HEIGHTS SCHOOL

To commemorate the International Labour Day and to appreciate and thank the selfless service of the support staff, The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka celebrated International Worker’s Day in a School Assembly. The day commenced with the felicitation of the support staff by the school Principal along with school coordinators. In her address the school principal Ms Archana Narain reiterated the students about significance of dignity of labour and the importance of the services rendered by each and every individual towards the upliftment of the society. The school environs reverberated to the amalgamation of performances by support staff comprising of group song, poem recitation and group dance. It was a fruitful experience for students as they learn to acknowledge the contribution made by the supporting staff and respect them for toiling tirelessly. As a part of celebration, the students enthusiastically participated in card making activity wherein they made cards expressing their love and respect to the community helpers. Group discussions were held in the classes where students shared their experiences as their token of gratitude. The students also participated in a Pottery Workshop where they got hands on experience of making pots. The school management also appreciated and congratulated the efforts made by the support staff for displaying sincere commitment towards their work during the year. It was a fruitful experience for students as they learnt about Dignity of Labour , acknowledge the value of services rendered by people around as community helpers.
