RUN FOR ROAD SAFETY ORGANISED AT IIT-DELHI

About 300 Students of Indian Institute of Technology (iIT), Delhi and concerned Delhi Citizens today participated in the Marathon titled ‘INDIAN ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN’ , to generate awareness about road safety as India accounts for highest number of road accident deaths in the world .

The Marathon titled ‘Run for cause’ was organised by the students of IIT, Delhi in collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO) and Delhi Traffic Police as part of the Fourth UN Global Road Safety Week, This is first of its kind initiative being taken by IIT Delhi .

Garima Bhatnagar, Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic Delhi distributed the prizes and expressed concern at large number of road accident deaths in Delhi and urged citizens to make capital known for least number of fatal road accidents .
