Unani Health Camp for first time held in Dwarka

People in India are now seen more and more inclined towards the treatment methods of Ayurvedic, Unani, Homeopathy and Naturopathy which are not only safe from the point of view of side effects but also treat root cause of the deseases resulting in permanent relief. Even the Government of India formed Ministry of AYUSH in the year 2014 with focused attention for development of Education and Research in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy.

Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi Sanstha organized an Unani Health Camp on 18th February for the first time of its type in Dwarka in collaboration with Hamdard Wellness (Hamdard Dawakhana), in Community Hall of Chitrakoot Apartments, Sector-22. Dr. N.A. Rana, BUMS, MD, a hakeem in Unani system of treatment, delivered a lecture bringing forward history of the Unani system of treatment and its concepts, hundred and twelve years journey of Hamdard Wellness in this field and various aspect of human body starting from its initial creation till its natural end. During his lecture, Dr. Rana touched a wide spectrum of the cause, prevention and cure of various physical and mental ailments with focus on natural solution to lifestyle related disorders and problems of growing age, followed by a fruitful question-answer session. This session of the Health Camp was extended from initially planned one hour to more than two hours because of the interest and curiosity of the audience. P.B. Mishra, General Secretary of the SDKS Sanstha welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests from Hamdard Welness to the audience, giving brief account of the benefits of Unani Method of treatment.
Free health check-up and consultation was also conducted by doctor N.A. Rana and lady doctor Ms. Shazia, during this Health Camp. Assistant General Manager Mr. Faizaan Siddiqui and Deputy Manager Mr. Khursheed Alam of Hamdard Wellness also remained present during entire health camp who informed the audience that free consultation is available in their wellness centres at Lal Kuan and Hamdard Nagar besides the head office at Ansari road. Coupons for free consultation in Malviya Nagar Centre were also distributed. Impressed and encouraged with the response and success of the Camp, Mr. Faizaan Siddiqui also offered to provide free of cost consultation services by their doctor in Dwarka at regular intervals as mutually fixed.

Free check-up of blood pressure and blood sugar was also conducted by LaL Chandani Labs at the same place. Tea and snakes were served to all by Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi Sanstha. More than hundred people were benefited with this Health Camp. The camp started at 10:00 a.m. and ended at about 3:00 p.m. with closing address of Shashi Kant Kapoor, President of the Sanstha, thanking the distinguished guests from Hamdard Wellness, audience and Sanstha members for their cooperation which made the programme a great success.
