BJP will organize a Dharna at the RCS office on Parliament Street tomorrow i.e. on 2nd July, 2010 for demanding holding the draw in pending societies and for regularization of the self-draws conducted so far. The Dwarka Forum has extended its full support to the cause of the suffering members and has flayed moves like registering the FIRs against the organizers of self-draw, disconnecting water and power supply to any society that have gone for self-draw. M. K. Gupta, Joint Secretary and media advisor of Dwarka Forum said that the action should be taken against the officials of the Registrar responsible for not conducting any draw for the last one year despite completion of all the formalities by the Societies. Forum President, Rejimon CK and other members will take part in this Dharna.
Mr. Vijendra Gupta, President, BJP has demanded the regularization of self-draw because that was conducted in transparent and harmonious manner in the presence of members before the glare of media and in the presence of MPs and there is no complaint by any member before or after the draw. In a press conference held yesterday, Vijendra Gupta asked that even after the orders of the Supreme Court, why no draw has been conducted after the orders? He said that the Government is adopting anti-people policies and has lost all the sensitivities adding that till further draws are not held and self-draws are not regularised, the party will not sit silent. In the press conference, Dharam Dev Solanki, MLA, Vijay Pandit, Councillor, Mukesh Sinha, Editor, Dwarka City, representatives of Societies and Dwarka Forum were present. Asok Kumar, Convener of the Association of Suffering Members informed about the case in details.
C B Jarodia, Vice President of Dwarka Lok Kalyan Manch and Ashok Chaitanya, Secretary, National RTI Forum (Delhi Unit), D C Upadhayay of Dwarka Vikas Manch and Dwarka Parichay have also supported the cause of the members of group housing societies and have condemned the threat of the Delhi govt to take repressive measures against the organisors of self-draw.
