Public meeting with MCD & DDA held in Dwarka

On 10th January, 2012. ANHLGT organized public meeting with MCD & DDA officials.In the meeting, Mr Rajesh Gehlot, Municipal Councilor, DDA Board member along with Mr.Chahar,Director Horticulture- DDA, Mr. S R Solanki, Chief  Engineer-DDA, Mr L. Chaudhry, S.E- DDA , Mr. Yadav, Executive Engineer- MCD and other officers from MCD were present on the occassion.
Mrs Tina Sharma , President NGO Cell, Delhi BJP State was also present. Residents from Sector 9 presented their issues regarding lighting problems, garbage problem, maintenance of the parks in front of the officers.

Mr. Gehlot instructed the DDA and MCD officials to resolves the issues at the earliest. He also urged the residents to perform their duties and contribute by taking little steps like disposing garbage in the
garbage bins only. He also informed the residents that 30-35 acres  field is proposed for Sector 19, which will have a capacity of about 5000 people with football fields, cricket field and a track. The field should be ready in about one year.

Mr. Premchand, Dy. Director Horticulture said that he attends to all problems related to Dwarka on a priority basis. Mr. S.R.Solanki thanked ANHLGT for their continuous efforts in improving the overall quality of life of residents of Dwarka.He also said that the organization helps the authorities by raising the issues beforehand, therefore minimizing the time for solving them. Also addressing the issues Mr. Solanki proposed that the construction of bore wells in the park will be given priority. Cleaning of the roads is the responsibility of MCD and adequate funds have been allocated to them for this. Additional Commissioner, landscape will identify the park with the help from residents to be allocated as playground for children.

On this occasion Mrs. Cicily Kodiyan, president-ANHLGT thanked the residents, and DDA and MCD Officials to participate in the meet. She also urged the members of the association to realize their women power and work for the betterment of the society.They should not only try to keep their houses clean , but also the neighborhood too.
