ERA BUSINESS SCHOOL ORGANISED INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO YAKULT PRODUCTION SONEPAT


Era Business School (EBS), India’s fastest growing B-School in the country, recently organized an industrial visit to Yakult production plant located at Sonepat. The students got an opportunity to interact with the operational and technical staff and learnt about the organizational culture and various functional areas like manufacturing, quality control, supply chain, logistics and other major operations of the company. Company`s officials were impressed by the initiative and inquisitive attitude of the students and provided a thorough knowledge into the core business areas. 

The Operations Manager briefed about the industry profile and gave a detailed presentation on the evolution of Yakult. Yakult is manufactured at an ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007 and HACCP certified factory in Sonepat, Haryana in North India. The factory is spread over 8 acres and out of this more than 30% area is green belt area. The factory is designed as per international standards and special care has been taken while designing in order to maintain the highest level of hygiene standards for delivering the best quality product to its consumers.

The visit lasted couple of hours but the kind of influence it left upon the students is irreversible. Immediately after this industrial visit, a short report preparation on this visit was conducted by the faculty to understand the key learning’s after the visit. The result was highly motivating. All students of Era Business School who visited the Yakult Industry came up with highly effective and impressive report.
