N.K.Bagrodia Public School organized Caring & Sharing Week from 19-22nd December. A foray of Intra class activities were conducted in the classes I-X. The students of class I participated in Stockings Decoration where little children showcased their creativity by decorating the Red coloured Stockings with different articles. The students of class II participated in The Christmas Tree decoration. The various sizes of Christmas Trees were beautifully decorated with the glittering hangings. The students of class III made beautiful Christmas Cards as a part of Card Making activity. The card consisted of catchy messages highlighting the spirit of Christmas. The students of class IV-V participated in an eco friendly activity of Making Gifts from the Waste. The gifts made by the children were really useful such as wall hangings, pen stand, chalk box etc and showcased their creative side. The students of class VI-VII visited Orphage Don Bosco Ashalyam as a part of their Caring And Sharing activity. The students conducted various activities there which was based on Education, Health and Entertainment. The students of class VIII took part in an activity in which they showed the videos made by them which featured the social work done by the children in their respective residential areas. The students of class IX took part in a Rally highlighting the message of Taking Care & Sharing the idea of Keeping their Surroundings Clean.
The children visited the nearby Societies and interacted with the residents and suggested some very useful and innovative measures to them for keeping their area clean such as sending the vegetables and fruit peels to the Goshalas and farms as a part of cattle fodder, provision of Dustbins at a frequent distances , Encouraging Vermi composting etc. The students of class X participated in an Class interaction on the topic –Caring & Sharing means celebrating Humanity. The week long celebrations were culminated in the Closing ceremony of the Caring & Sharing Week on Dec 22nd .The event was graced by Ms Disha Pannu , Asstt Director General ,Postal Department (Philately Division) The program was inaugurated by the Lighting of the Lamp and seeking the God’s blessings. The students presented a series of cultural and Literary programs which included An English poem, A speech in English, A Chinese Dragon dance by the Junior school tiny tots, Christmas Carol and a foot tapping International dance form. The Chief guest addressed the students and shared her thoughts on the concept of Caring & Sharing and to incorporate in our daily life. The theme of the entire week long celebrations spread the messages of Love, Peace, Trust and maintaining harmony among the individuals along with the warm wishes of Christmas and New Year.
