\nIndia\u2019s triumphant U-13 girls were felicitated at All India Football Federation Headquarters, the Football House in Dwarka on Thursday (March 15). The girls returned back after winning the AFC U-13 Girl\u2019s Football Tournament held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

Mr. Kushal Das, General Secretary of the All India Football Federation along with India\u2019s U-13 girls and support staff at the felicitation ceremony at Football House, Dwarka<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
\nAIFF General Secretary Kushal Das congratulated girls for putting up such a stupendous performance. \u201cI congratulate you for the feat which you have achieved. Hope you will continue with this in the future tournaments. All of you have made the country proud,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr. Das also announced a cash reward of Rs 5000 each for the players and the support staff. Head Coach Priya sounded elated. \u201cWe are very happy that we won. This is a step in the right direction. We hope to sustain our performance even at the U-14 tournaments.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also lauded AIFF\u2019s support and the reward awarded to the team. \u201cAIFF has been very encouraging and this kind of appreciation would only inspire more players to take up the sport in the country,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

The girls won all their five matches and defeated the likes of Iran (1-0), Bhutan (13-0), hosts Sri Lanka (7-0), Jordan (7-1) and Palestine 9-0 on way to winning the tournament.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
