\nWhen newly constructed buildings were falling<\/b><\/div>\n
\nAnd frashly laid surfaces[on roads] were spalling,<\/b><\/div>\n
\nDifficult, it was <\/b><\/div>\n
\nTo be a mute spectator<\/b><\/div>\n
\nCounselled my conscience, <\/b><\/div>\n
\ncome out of your stupor<\/b><\/div>\n
\nAnd act.<\/b><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nAnd act, I did <\/b><\/div>\n
\nBy slipping the lid,<\/b><\/div>\n
\noff the can,<\/b><\/div>\n
\nof the shady goings-on,<\/b><\/div>\n
\nOf my seniors & peers<\/b><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nLo and behold,<\/b><\/div>\n
\nThere were reprisals galore<\/b><\/div>\n
\nWith the full gang<\/b><\/div>\n
\nShouting encore!<\/b><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nIntra-senior rivalries <\/b><\/div>\n
\nWere forgotten by many,<\/b><\/div>\n
\nAnd all of them galvanized <\/b><\/div>\n
\nTo fight a common enemy.<\/b><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nNew weapons of treachery<\/b><\/div>\n
\nWere assembled,<\/b><\/div>\n
\nAnd the organization resembled <\/b><\/div>\n
\nA battery of artillery<\/b><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nTons of falsehood were expended,<\/b><\/div>\n
\nTo crush an ounce of truth<\/b><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBut,  truth, you know, is like the phoenix<\/b><\/div>\n
\nWhich rises afresh from its ashes <\/b><\/div>\n
\nAnd is not bound by sashes<\/b><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThough, there is ammunition aplenty<\/b><\/div>\n
\nBut of one thing, I am sure<\/b><\/div>\n
\nYes, very sure<\/b><\/div>\n
\nOn which others could crib,<\/b><\/div>\n
\nThat all of this, would prove to be <\/b><\/div>\n
\nA damp-squib<\/b>.<\/div>\n
