\nUrivi Vikram Charitable Trust organized a two\u2013day Career Mela on 16th & 17th December, 2011 at District Office Hall, Office of Deputy Director of Education District South West-B, Najafgarh, New Delhi-43 attended by almost 2,500 students.<\/p>\n

\nThe 59th Career Mela under the UVCT Project \u2018Prerena\u2019 which has been providing counseling and guidance to lakhs of adolescents in various schools. It was inaugurated by Shri Jang Bahadur Singh, Deputy Director(Education) South West-B, Najafgarh. He was overwhelmed by the Career Mela and appreciated UVCT\u2019s efforts towards this noble issue. The career mela oriented students on various available career avenues like Careers in Computer applications, Uniformed Services, Sports, Teaching, Accountancy & Insurance, Self-employment etc;. Apart from a series of career guidance sessions, special interactive sessions on Life Skills education & Personality development was held. How to handle competitive examination, such as UPSC, SSC etc,, and career options for Arts, Science and Commerce students were also some topics that were discussed. <\/p>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n

\nThe first day began with the topic \u201c How to choose Career \u201d This session was conducted by Mr. Bhupendra Kumar, who spoke about Career Planning, self assessment, goal setting, Perceptions about exploring Careers etc. The enthusiastic participants of nearly 2500 students made the event a great success.<\/p>\n

\nThe Programme was concluded with a Valedictory function presided over by Shri Anil Kumar Ojha, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police South-West District. Mr. Ojha appreciated the initiative of UVCT, he was very impressed with Project \u201cParivartan\u201d aims to bring the Juveniles Delinquents into the mainstream through \u2018Life Skills Education\u2019 and skill up gradation. On this occasion Sh. Jang Bahadur Singh, Deputy Director of Education District South West-B, Najafgarh,Sh. C.S Yadav, Sh. B.D Kaushik, Sh. Sudheer Vashist, Dr Rajni Sharma, Sh.Rajvir Singh, Sh N.N Mishra, Mrs. Bharamer, Sh. Bhupendra Kumar, Dr. Padmanabha Vasudea, Colonel Sunil Yadav, Mrs. Vijay Laxmi Parihar, Mrs. Neha Gupta, Ms. Abhipsha, Sh. Vikram Singh etc were also present.<\/p>\n

The 59th Career Mela had flashed amazing insights and an eye- opener for many students. The students participation in such large numbers indicated that the 59th Career mela was a well convinced and well organized to guide the students in order to fulfill our dream of making India a \u2018Super Power\u2019 and enable them to become economic productive and socially responsible citizens.<\/p>\n

\nShri Jang Bahadur Singh, Deputy Director(Education) South West-B, Najafgarh said that he was glad to have had the opportunity of holding such an informative, educative, motivating Career Mela in his District Office. He is hopeful that students have learnt a lot during this Career Mela. He felt that such Career Mela should be held regularly to provide information to choose the right option and make a success of their lives.<\/p>\n

Last but not the least The Great mother & father Mrs. U Chaya and Dr UNB Rao,PhD, IPS (Retd.) who lost their only son \u201cVikram\u201d at the age of 21, in an accident on 13, December, 2011. Vikram is the source of inspiration to the entire team of Urivi Vikram Charitable Trust.<\/p>\n
