\nRecently, Dwarka Kala Sangam organized a music programme to honour music directors Shankar Jaikishan at Elephanta Heights, Sector-10, Dwarka. <\/p>\n

\nThe programme started with the chief guest Dr.Raj Senani, Director, NSIT, Dwarka, lighting the traditional lamp. The musical evening commenced with an invocation song to goddess Saraswathi by Mrs.S Jayalakshmi and Mr.Ashok Kumar. Col.Aneja handed over the further proceedings to the anchor Mrs$.Shashi Kohli who briefed the audience about the career of music directors Shankar- Jaikishan and their important achievements in the field of Hindi film music. She also introduced one by one the members of Dwarka Kala Sangam who came out with soulful duets and melodious solos composed by Music duo Shankar- Jaikshan to the synchronised accompaniment of orchestra group headed by Mr.Ashwani Sharma on the key board, Mr.Tulsi on the octopad and Mr.Shambhoo on the tabla.<\/p>\n

All the songs were appreciated by the audience with their thunderous applauses after each song rendition. The show which lasted for nearly three hours concluded with the humorous song \u201cWo pari kahaan se laoon\u201d from the film \u201cPehchaan\u201d rendered by Mrs.S.Jayalakshmi, Mrs.Promila Malik. Mrs.Kamlesh Soni, Mrs.Raksh Sharma and Mr.Pradeep Sharma.
