\nwhen modern life meets old traditional belief and custom in modern day Mumbai,
\nIndia. A yuppie Parsi Zoroastrian couple, Farhad and Zenobia, more interested
\nin their careers and \u2018getting ahead\u2019 in life, have an old, superstitious
\nhousemaid, Savitri. There is a battle of cultures and of wills. Meher has
\nbeautifully crafted this humorous play which brings to life a clash of modern
\ncity living versus traditional belief and superstition. Discover who is feeding
\nthe crows…. and why? <\/div>\n

\nCrows won the South Asia segment of the BBC\/British Council International Radio
\nPlay Writing Competition in 2009. <\/b><\/div>\n
\n  <\/div>\n
\nMEHER PESTONJI<\/b> –
\nAuthor \u2013 Freelance Journalist \u2013 Playwright – as a freelance journalist Meher
\nPestonji participated in the activist movements of her times \u2013 the campaign to
\nchange rape laws, the campaign for slum-dwellers housing rights, the struggle
\nto create a better understanding of street-kids and their special needs.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe post-Babri Masjid communal riots of
\nthe 90s affected her deeply and fuelled her resolve to fight all shades of
\ncommunalism and parochialism, including those she encountered in her tiny Parsi
\ncommunity.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nDisillusioned with the marker-oriented
\njournalism that became fashionable in the years after the Indian economy
\nembraced economic liberalization, she switched to creative writing. Her first
\nbook, a collection of short stories \u2018Mixed Marriage and other Parsi Stories\u2019
\nwas published in 1999, followed by Pervez, a Novel in 2003, and Sadak Chhaap in
\n2005.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nHer first play, Piano for Sale, had a
\nsuccessful run in Bombay, Delhi and Jaipur in 2006- 2007. Her second play,
\nFeeding Crows, won the South Asia segment of the BBC\/British Council
