\nOctober 21, 2011 the portals of Sri Venkateshwar
\nInternational School, Sector-18, Dwarka<\/b> reverberated with joie de vivre as
\nit celebrated its Annual Concert<\/b> \u2018VIVAAN<\/b>\u2019. The students surpassing expectations;
\ntook the audience to a world, where mysticism of the mythological amalgamated
\nwith the contemporary.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nShri Vineet Joshi, Chairman CBSE<\/b> graced
\nthe occasion as the Chief Guest<\/b>.  He found his vision of a complete educational
\nsystem more or less reflected through the unfolding of the various segments of
\nVivaan.  He shared his vision of making
\neducation stress-free and more meaningful for the learners. He wished that all
\nof us will continue to remain lifelong learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

\nThe
\nPrincipal welcomed all on the momentous occasion and also reiterated the
\ncommitment of the Sri VIS family to make education joyful and purposeful
\ntowards discovery of self. <\/div>\n

\nThe
\npageantry then started with the heart rending rhythmic beats of the orchestra; whose
\nmelody the `The Fangs Symphony-Version 2<\/b>\u2019
\ntransported one across the lands to the mystic Arabian sands. One genre of
\nbeats led to the other as the nimble dancers took the stage grooving away to
\nthe lilting tunes of folklore from Haryana showcasing the cultural panorama of
\nthe nation, followed by a contemporary dance item, reflecting the dichotomy
\nwithin and revival of hope.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nYet
\nmore mellifluous sounds pervaded the environs as the young sufi singers took
\nthe stage; reviving qawwali tradition; seeking divine intervention and
\nblessings. The stellar performance garnered a hearty ovation from the audience
\nfor trying a niche of the most accomplished.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe
\nBallad `Dashavatar<\/b>\u2019 presented by the
\npre-primaries and primary students elucidated the blend of modernity with
\ntraditionalism in approach to life. The reincarnation of the avatars of Lord
\nVishnu took one back in time and recreated the oft quoted and presented need
\nfor the victory of the good over evil. The sheer elegance of the depiction of
\nscenes and narratives, the nuances, the stances and the expressions highlighted
\nthe fine artistry of the young artistes. The larger than life props appeared
\ncustom made for the sequences and captivated the audiences.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe
\nconcept and its entire execution, was an In-House attempt of Sri VIS students
\nand teachers, making it all the more educative besides being highly enjoyable.  The show saw mesmerizing light effects
\nintegrating the techies\u2019 creations of backdrops and slides. Principal along
\nwith, Ms Shama Kapoor- HM Pre-Primary Wing, Ms Priya Braria HM,  Mr Harish Sharma Admn. Officer, Ms Malini
\nPandey Primary Coordinator, Mr Kishore, Mr Ajay, Mr Abhishek, Ms Renuka, Ms
\nNavita, Ms Nidhi  Joshi, Ms Arti and the
\nentire faculty and performers deserve accolades for the scintillating presentation
\nand the learning imparted to the all members 
\nof school, through the annual production. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n As the creative talents got a platform to exhibit
\ntheir potential; it was also a time to give due credit to the outstanding
\nachievers in the various scholastic and co-scholastic fields.  The CHAIRMAN\u2019S TROPHY FOR LEADERSHIP<\/b> was awarded to SHAUNAQ NARINDRA<\/b> and the PRINCIPAL\u2019S
\nAWARD FOR OVERALL EXCELLENCE<\/b> went to
\nVISHU GUPTA. <\/b>Besides these, the best vocalist, Soham Ray<\/b>, best computer whiz kids- Abhimanyu Sharma<\/b>, Apoorvo
\nChakraborty<\/b>. The sportsperson, who represented the school in national games
\nand brought laurels were also felicitated. Some of the stalwarts, who garnered
\nglory at the national level, are Pranav
\nSuri <\/b>in skating, Akshansh Solanki <\/b>in
\nswimming, Shivani Sharma<\/b> in yoga.<\/b>  Aarushi
\nBhasin<\/b>, the YMCA best Swimmer and Delhi State Junior champ, Kanika Yadav- <\/b>the star athlete and Mishthi Jain <\/b>the artist of the year, Prithvi Chauhan<\/b>-the scientific brain
\nand Sanyam Jain-<\/b>the best drummer
\nwere also felicitated.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nAfter
\nthe sojourn to the mythological era, all were transported back to the present
\nthrough the eclectic display of the rhythmic dancers. Once again a wide array
\nof dances graced the stage, showcasing Hip Hop, Ballroom and Salsa styles with
\nelan and poise. <\/div>\n

\nWith
\nthe foot tapping dances, the show came to an end leading to the beginning of
\nthe season of festivities. ` Vivaan<\/b>\u2019
\ncelebrated the essence of life touching on its various hues through the medium
\nof dance and music hoping to permeate the joyousness in each heart.<\/div>\n
