\u00a0The 92nd birth\u00a0anniversary of eminent educationist, entrepreneur and freedom fighter\u00a0\u00a0 Late Dr. Stya Paul was celebrated on Tuesday, the 4th
\nOctober, 2011 at Sirifort Auditorium. Eminent artist Mr. Shekhar Sen gave a
\ntribute to Dr. Stya Paul by performing in\u00a0 a monologue play on Swami
\nVivekananda \u2013 a great saint and philosopher who inspired Dr. Stya Paul in his\u00a0life\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n

Among the eminent dignitaries present on the occasion were
\nShahnawaz Hussain<\/b>, spokesperson of Bhartiya Janta Party, Raghupati
\nSinghania,<\/b> Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JK <\/i>Tyre &
\nIndustries Limited and Nalini Singh<\/b>, eminent journalist along with the
\nlate educationist\u2019s family members including his wife Mrs. Rajeshwari Paul,
\ndaughter Sushma Berlia, son-in-law Vijay Berlia, grandson and grand
\ndaughter-in-law Nishant Berlia and Nisha Berlia and grand children Aditya
\nBerlia and Neha Berlia.<\/div>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Sushma Berlia, President Apeejay
\nStya Group & Svran Group said, \u201cMy father was way ahead of his time and
\nwas an ardent hard worker. He fought in the Quit India movement and was jailed.
\nThat showed his loyalty to the nation. For him work was worship. He was a man
\nwho spoke less and worked more.\u201d<\/i><\/div>\n

Notably, Late Dr. Stya Paul was conferred the Udyog Ratan Award by\u00a0the Government of Punjab and PHDCCI, in recognition of his contribution to
\nIndustry and Education, and Punjab\u2019s economical development in particular.
\nBesides establishing Apeejay Stya Group, Dr. Stya Paul also established Apeejay\u00a0Education Society, which runs many schools and institutes of higher learning\u00a0across India. He is also founded Apeejay Stya University in Gurgaon, Haryana-a global university with innovative academic system. Dr. Stya Paul is also the\u00a0elder brother of London based NRI industrialist Lord Swaraj Paul. He was deeply\u00a0inspired by Swami Vivekanand and his teachings of universal brotherhood and his
\nfamily thought that it would be a fitting tribute to commemorate the\u00a0educationist\u2019s 92nd birth anniversary by enacting a play on the life
\nand times of the saint which coincided with the 150th birth
\nanniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The two hour monologue play by artist Shekhar\u00a0Sen left the high-profile audience spell-bound.<\/div>\n

The event witnessed a huge audience including all the faculty members, staffs and students of Apeejay Education Society and Apeejay Stya
\nUniversity. At last the commemorative event was concluded by national anthem.<\/div>\n
