The day of the confluence of spurting creative talents of Sri Venkateshwarites<\/strong><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

On 30th July 2011 Sri VIS, Sec18, Dwarka held the Annual Expo showcasing the innate potential of each student. The event was an amalgamation of the scholastic and co-scholastic skills of the learners. <\/div>\n

The event saw the presence of Ms Anju Mehta, Manager Schools Programmes, North India, British Council, Ms Smita Vats, Founder Director ITIHAAS, Gp Capt Ishwar Singh, Advisor Venkateshwar Group of Schools, Sh Sailander Solanki, Chairman SVIS, Mr Rajiv Solanki, Chairman VGS, Air Commodore C M Singla , Vir Chakra awardee, Ex Chairman, & MD Pawan Hans Ltd, Ms Kavita Soni, Principal VGS, Ms Anuradha, Headmistress, Primary Wing, VIS, Sector -10 and the school principal Ms Nita Arora.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
The hard work and toil of the students & mentors were evident in the various subject rooms. The classes and the cultural performance arena were abuzz with the enthusiastic performances and magnificent displays. The various International School Projects undertaken as a British Council initiative added to the globalisation of learning experiment at Sri VIS.<\/div>\n

As the corner of fractions garnered attention in one room the journey to the past drew the attention in the other. The language rooms displayed their essence through their individuality and unique exhibits. <\/div>\n

\nIf character portrayal vied for attention in English, French & Spanish culture intrigued the visitors in the second room and the Hindi and Sanskrit room displayed the fluidity of the language to the hilt. <\/p>\n

For experiential learning the science lab beckoned one and all as did the life skills and the physical education expo .A \u2018Plantation Drive\u2019 formed an integral part of the \u2018Visible We\u2019 wherein the School Chairman and the other distinguished luminaries planted saplings initiating the drive that would continue till Aug 10, 2011. The effort to sensitize all towards the environment was well applauded by all and saw participation in great numbers.<\/p>\n

The ISA project found prominence through the livewire performances of the ballerinas of class I who floored one and all with their scintillating international dances. The grace of \u2018Kalinka \u2018 from Russia was matched by the subtlety of \u2018Buchaechum\u2019 of South Korea. The vigorous movements of \u2018Matador Dance\u2019 from Spain were as enthralling as the Zulu dancers of Africa. The lithe movements of the dancers from \u2018Fan Dance\u2019 of Japan, the \u2018Clog Dance\u2019 from Wales and the \u2019Samba\u2019 from Brazil added to the gaiety & overall experience.<\/div>\n

With the classrooms being the display hub of the creative work of the students and the auditorium facilitating the global outlook imbibed by the Venkateshwarites, the assembly foyer was thronged by spectators who witnessed the high voltage performances of the School Choir and the dance and theatre club.<\/div>\n

\nThe global gastronomic delights displayed by the students also delighted the visitors through their sheer presentation and exposed the cultural milieu of the world as experienced by the students of SVIS.<\/p>\n

All classrooms of the Primary Wing came alive with the various curricular & ISA projects displayed & projected through the wonderful presentations made by the students. Mrs. Anju Mehta remarked that this school befits being a case study for others to learn about how an International School project should reach out from classes to homes and to community.<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n

The day concluded with satisfaction writ large on the faces of students, guardians and the facilitators. Satisfaction of deliverance for students, satisfaction of seeing overall excellence in their wards for parents and satisfaction of seeing confident, determined and focused students for the facilitators.<\/p>\n
