Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is completing its 76 years on the 10th of June 2011. this day is celebrated all over the world in 183 countries by over 3 million alcoholics in recovery along their friends and families as the founders day of AA. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
A meeting between a New York stock broker Bill Wilson and Doctor Bob a Acron Physician in (USA) who had a desire to solve their alcohol problem sat and talked, is the day which is considered as the first AA meeting 76 years ago.\n<\/div>\n
AA offers a way of recovery through a 12 step program which ultimately leads to a spiritual awakening which is the solution to the biggest problem of mankind ever since man first crushed grapes. \n<\/div>\n
The purpose of our AA community for is to be \u201cfriendly with our friends\u201d in all walks of life, so that the life saving AA message of personal recovery can reach more of those who need and desire our help.\n<\/div>\n
Simply stated, Alcoholics Anonymous is a worldwide fellowship of men and women who help each other maintain sobriety and who offer to share their recovery experience with others. Anyone who thinks he\/she has a drinking problem is welcome to an AA meeting, which is FREE; there is no charge and is confidential. AA does not take any contributions of any kind from outside.<\/div>\n

 What AA does<\/h2>\n
At meetings AA members share their recovery experience with anyone seeking help with a drinking problem, and give person-to-person services or \u2018Sponsorship\u2019 to the alcoholics coming to AA. The AA program, as set forth in the Twelve Steps to recovery, offers the alcoholic an opportunity to develop a satisfying way of life free from alcohol.\n<\/div>\n
Non-alcoholic guests are welcome at \u2018Open\u2019 meetings. Attendance at \u2018Closed\u2019 meetings is limited to those who are alcoholic or think they may have an alcoholic problem.<\/div>\n

What AA does NOT do <\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Make medical or psychiatric diagnosis or offer advice.<\/li>\n
  • Provide drying out or nursing facilities, hospitalization, drugs, housing, jobs, money or other welfare services.<\/li>\n
  • Accept any money for its services or contribution from outside sources.<\/li>\n
  • Provide letters of reference to lawyers, court officials, social agencies, employers etc.<\/li>\n
  • Engage in or support education, research, or professional treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
