BUDDING BLOSSOMS \u2013 an innovative English medium school run by SUNAINA Society for the Upliftment of National Arts of India celebrated its 2nd Annual Day function on Thursday, 11th November at the CCRT auditorium in Dwaraka. <\/div>\n

\n<\/div>\n
 The day being World Education Day – Founder Director Kanaka Sudhakar in her speech and presentation emphasized the need to educate children of lower economic strata by giving them quality education. She presented the cultural, educational and research activities conducted by the SOCIETY. The Chief Guest for the evening was Shri Rajesh Gahlot Deputy Mayor MCD, Delhi. Smt. Ramesh Kumari Bharadwaj, Social Worker and Manager, Shiksha Bharati Educational Socety, Shri Pankaj Nanda, Project Officer Sampoorna Saaksharta Mission and Guru Smt. Vijayalaksmi, a Bharatanatyam exponent also graced the occasion with their benevolent presence.<\/div>\n

The school Principal Smt. S. Geetha explained about the activities of the school and its growth after which Shri Rajesh Gahlot felicitated the Principal and the teachers.<\/div>\n

The school, whose main branch is in Tilak Nagar \u2013 presented a wonderful cultural performance by about 70 children as small as two to eight years old. Specially remarkable was an English play \u2013 SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, in which Saradyuti as Snow White and Harman as the Mirror gave a commendable performance. The dances \u201cRang De Basanti\u201d and \u201cMera Naam Hai Chin Chin Choo\u201d were very colourful, drawing applause from an appreciative audience. The Hindi play \u201cEkta Mein Bal Hai\u201d by such small children showed their confidence and poise. The pre-nursery children won the hearts of everyone in the auditorium with their performances like Bachhe Man Ke Sachhe, Rail Gaadi and \u201cTwinkle Twinkle Little Star\u201d.<\/div>\n

The function ended with a fashion show, in which the tiny tots decked up in colourful attire, displayed traditional dresses from various states of India. <\/div>\n

Deputy Mayor in his address praised the efforts of the Principal and teachers of the school and expressed the need for more such schools to cater to the majority of the masses of this area.\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
