Ambedkar Vishwavidyalaya, Delhi (Ambedkar University, Delhi or AUD for short) was established by the Government of the NCT of Delhi through an Act of Legislature. The University began functioning in August 2008. The Act mandates the University to focus on teaching and research in the Social Sciences and the Humanities. AUD is a unitary university which locates its postgraduate and undergraduate programmes as well as research on its own campus.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing inspiration from the life and the ideas of Dr B.R.
