\nN. K. Bagrodia Public School,Dwarka organized \u2018Trishna Summit 2017\u2019 \u2013 A Students\u2019 Conclave . The Annual Inter-School cultural fiesta was organized with a novel vision and perspective in a unique incarnation in keeping with the tradition to tap the inner talents of students with a motto to cap the unhealthy cut throat competition. It was a spectacular show held on 5th May 2017 with a lot of zeal and gusto. It was celebrated with a myriad of activities at different levels from classes I to XII. It provided a platform to around 800 students from 24 prestigious schools from Dwarka as well as West Delhi to showcase their acumen. <\/p>\n

\nTrishna is a journey in the quest of knowledge for the mind and an attempt which gave a unique opportunity to students to explore their flair for creativity and innovation. The icon of Trishna is \u2018Zorba -The Buddha\u2019 whose feet are firmly rooted to ground yet whose hands can touch the stars, conveying the message \u2018 If you can dream it, you can do it\u2019. <\/p>\n

The Opening Ceremony was commenced with invocation of blessings from the Almighty and lighting of the lamp of knowledge. The gala event was presided over by the esteemed Guest of Honour Colonel Joe Sabby,adirector in the Headquarters Integrated Staff in Delhi, who thereafter inaugurated and declared thefest open . The Ceremony was also graced by the presence of Ms. Sabby and Shri K.K Dhanuka, member of NKBPS group of schools committee,Mrs. SatinderKaur, Headmistress of NKBPS Junior School. The Head of the schoolDr. (Mrs.) Rajee N Kumar accorded her felicitations to the distinguished Guest of Honour, esteemed invitees and the eminent observers in their respective fieldsof the different events by presenting them plants and mementoes.<\/p>\n

The young artists mesmerized the audience by presenting a pulsating welcome song. The august gathering was addressed bythe Guest of Honour with his words of wisdom .He complimented the entire Bagrodian fraternity for the commendable initiative and showered his blessings upon all the participants. <\/p>\n

The summit encompassed a gamut of activities that included giving creative expression to thoughts through events like Pictogram Maestro for class I &II , Story Stripping for class III ,Vocab-Thriller for classes IX & X.The young Mathematicians\u2019 talent was tested through Math-O-Fukreiga for class IV & V, Pi- Rates for classes VII & VIII and Treasure Hunt for classes IX & X.Visual Art- Traditional painting using M-seal and waste materials for classes VII , Author\u2019s Guild studio-Presentations on any author from Hindi, English and Sanskrit subjects for class VII, Hindi-Panchayatconveying the strong message \u2018Beti Bachao Beti Padhao\u2019for class VIII,Performing Arts included composing a group song using using a word given to them and using basic instruments on the spot for classes VI to VIII. A unique laboratory saw scientists presenting their inventions ,designing a working model using electronic and other waste in \u2018Start- up\u2019 kids for classes XII , Tech C- , solving puzzles using the computer language C++ Wizard for XI & XII. Vanmitravali- an initiative to promote planting trees and be the Green Ambassador captured a special attention. The entire day was abuzz with multifarious activities garnered all praise and appreciation for their unique concept. <\/p>\n

The mega event culminated with a surprise element. The Closing Ceremony was embellished by the presence of the distinguished Chief Guest Mrs. Sushma Seth, a renowned actress from the television and film fraternity .The occasion was blessed by the benign presence of the Chairperson of the school, Smt. Puspa DeviBagrodiaji,Shri Dinesh Kumar Guptaji, member of school managing committee, wife of Shri Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Ms. Manju gupta. The Principal welcomed the galaxy of luminaries by presenting them memento, plants and gift hampers. She delivered her welcome speech welcoming all the honourable guests in attendance. An electrifying western dance performancepresented by the students added a vibrant touch to the closing ceremony. The Chief Guest shared her views and appreciated the students for their praiseworthy efforts. This was followed by the most exhilarating segment where the Best Performers of every event were felicitated with gift hampers and certificates. <\/p>\n
