Nalanchira: (Kerala) 5 March, 2017. As part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Mar Theophilus Training College, the three days International Seminar cum-Media Literacy Conclave-2017 empowered more than 350 researchers, teachers & students from India & abroad. \u201cEmerging Knowledge Society \u2013 Curricular and Technological Innovations and Practices (EKSCTIP \u2013 2017)\u201d titled Seminar sponsored by the UGC, supported by ICSSR organized in collaboration with IIITM-K (Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management – Kerala, Centre for Educational Technology (University of Kerala) and AIREO (Association of International Researchers of Indian Origin).<\/p>\n

\nThe said seminar with multi-disciplinary in nature and invited papers on the main theme or on a wide array of related sub-themes. On the inaugural day, A book titled \u201cMedia World in Students Life\u201d jointly compiled\/Edited by S.S. Dogra & Dr. K.Y.Benedict released by Santhosh Mathew (IAS)-NCTE-Chairperson, New Delhi & blessed by Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis (Major Arch Bishop Catholicos of the Mlankara Catholic Church) Dr. Carolina Lopez (Founder, United Nations Regiional Centre of Expertise on Education, Mexico), Dr. Laji Varghese, Dr. Joju John-Organizing Secretary of International Seminar also graced the book release ceremony just before the Media Conclave. <\/div>\n

\nMany eminent international educationalists like Dr. A. Sukumaran Nair (formerly Vice Chancellor, MG University), Dr. Carolina Lopez C. (Director, Centre for Dialogue and Human Well-being, Dept. of International Relations, Mexico), Dr.Achuthsankar S Nair (Director, Department of Computational Biology, University of Kerala), Dr.Senthil Nadhan (Asst. Professor and Deputy Coordinator, UGC-SAP, Dept of Educational Technology, Bharathidasan University) and Mr. Radhakrishnan T. (Asst Professor and Project Director, GIS Projects, IIITMK), S.S.Dogra (Senior Journalist & Founder Director-Creatives World Media Academy) handled Keynote \/ thematic sessions at the event.<\/div>\n

\nOn the 1st day, the Media Conclave was also organized along with the conference under the leadership of Mr. S.S.Dogra -(Delhi based Senior Journalist, Media Academician & Film Maker) Founder Director-Creatives World Media Academy & Managing Editor-Dwarka Parichay Media Group. The Media conclave provided an ample opportunity to acquaint with the latest Educational products showcased to exhibit short films, Media Workshop, multimedia products and services and Short Learning Objectives. Media Conclave inaugurated by S.S.Dogra along with Dr. Carolina Lopez C.-Maxico, William Yator-Nairobi,Kenya, Surok Chan-Sudan, Tohid Moradi-Iran, Dr. Theresa Susan A-Professor & Head, (Former Dean of Education) Department of Education, University of Kerala, Dr. Joju John. Mr. Dogra explained the whole idea of the said Media Conclave. <\/div>\n

\nMoreover, he delivered a lecture on \u201cPower of Media & the Scope in Education. He showed a short film \u201cImpact of Social Media in Daily Life\u201d Produced\/Directed by Mr. Dogra & edited by Rahul Kumar Jha-Delhi based famous Cinematographer. Another short film \u201cSwatch Bharat Abhiyan\u201d (Clean India Campaign) produced by Kunal Gupta-Principal, Bal Bhavan International & Directed by Piyush Gupta was also screened. Even a Power Point Presentation on \u201c1st Media Literacy Conclave\u201d by Utkarsh Upadhyay (Budding Journalist & Founder Volunteer-student of X class of Mayur Public School, Delhi) was too shown on the first day of Media Conclave session. The young film maker Adarsh Pratap who recently won the Award in Kolkata in the field of filmmaking also addressed the audience and shared his ideas of film making & impact of social media in day to day life. In the evening of day-1, a colorful cultural evening was also organized where the students & teachers performed outstandingly. Divya in English & Swathy in Malyalam anchored the cultural evening nicely.<\/div>\n

\nOn the concluding day, Professor Radhakrishnan & Dr. Alaxander Jacob-(IPS) were the key speakers who impressed the august audience with the motivational & inspiring speech to the present in the International Seminar. More than 250 researchers\/teachers & around one hundred B.Ed.\/M.Ed. students participated in the said seminar & Media Conclave respectively. In the concluding session of the International & Media Conclave-2017, a poster of book titled “Media Can Do Wonder in Students’ Life” authored by S.S. Dogra (Published by Maple Press Private Limited) was released by Dr.C.P.Srekantan Nair Patron, Council For Teacher Education, Kerala State Centre along with Dr. Carolina Lopez C. (Director, Centre for Dialogue and Human Well-being, Dept. of International Relations, Mexico), Dr. Alaxander Jacob-(IPS), William Yator-Nairobi,Kenyan Researcher, Tohid Moradi-Iranian Researcher, Dr. K.Y.Benedict-Principal-Host college, Dr. Joju John-Organizing Secretary & Dr. Laji Varghese-Seminar Convener. Thirty five teachers, researchers & students appeared in the Media Quia were also jointly felicitated by Creatives World Media Academy & MTT College, Trivendrum, Kerala.
