\nSeventeen year old girl Sehar Bajwa , class XII of Shri Ram School, Moulsari , Gurgaon (Gurugram) has launched an after school initiative titled \u2018\u00c1nmol Siksha\u2019 to empower rural school children between the ages of 14-17 by providing essential entrepreneurship skills .<\/p>\n

Sehar Bajwa, who is currently pursuing her International Baccalaureate Diploma in class 12 from the Shri Ram School, Moulsari, Gurgaon , got inspired to empower the children, while writing a research paper on school drop-out rates in Punjab last year. \u201cI was alarmed at the statistics released by UNESCO Institute for Statistics and Global Education Monitoring Report that 47 million adolescents in India have not progressed to upper secondary school, and remain unemployable\u201d said Ms Sehar Bajwa, the founder of initiative \u00c1nmol Siksha\u2019<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\u201c A pilot project of Anmol Shiksha has been started by setting up Centre for Learning in Derabassi in Punjab near Chandigarh last year, and currently is working with 60 children through voluntary teachers . We have devised special curriculum that improves their IQ and EQ levels overing subjects like moral values, leadership, entrepreneurship and hands-on experience in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) .\u201d said Ms Bajwa.<\/p>\n

\u201c I wishes to take Anmol Shiksha to a scalable level, which will help enrich the lives of students residing in rural areas and allow them to become better-informed citizens who can constructively contribute to India\u2019s growth. The advent of www.anmolshiksha.com will ultimately help serve the aggressive Make in India campaign and thereby raise the standards of living of Indian citizens.\u201d Said beaming Ms Bajwa.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is the my ultimate vision to equip each child with skills that will help transform children from job seekers to job creators.After success of Anmol Siksha Derrabassiproject, I plan to set up similar projects in states of Haryana , Punjab and Uttarakhand \u201d She added.<\/p>\n
