\nIndian Society of Assisted Reproduction \u2013 1800 members \u2013 India\u2019s biggest Infertility Society organised 7 workshops simultaneously over 2 days 23rd and 24th of July.<\/p>\n

\nFor the first time in India a demonstration of surgical sperm collection was demonstrated on goat testis by Dr Sunil Jindal from Meerut. Dr Narendra Malhotra President ISAR states \u201cThe purpose is to demonstrate scientific management techniques as male infertility is on the rise especially in the Metro areas. People should not get swayed by quacks. He also said Surrogacy should not be banned in the interest of the infertile couple and proper care for the surrogate mother is most important\u201d<\/p>\n

\nDr Shivani Sachdev Gour, Secretary Delhi ISAR added\u201d About 3 to 5 in 100 women who come for IVF treatment need surrogacy; banning this means condemning these women to a life of infertility. Only option will be for couples to go out of the country. Already there are several requests pending for transfer of embryos to countries like Cambodia who have benefitted heavily after India banned surrogacy.<\/div>\n

\nDr Tarini Taneja, Coordinator for this event emphasised YOGA for Fertility Fitness \u2013 now all conferences stress on and emphasise its role for stress relief ad better blood flow and perfusion for reproductive physiology.<\/div>\n

\nDr G K Tripathi President Delhi ISAR mentioned about the other workshops of Fetal medicine and mentioned that Ultrasound is the watch dog of pregnancy and acts like the PNDT Act can have an adverse effect in care of pregnant women. A targeted scan at 11 to 14 weeks can predict majority of problems not only in high risk but also in low risk pregnancies.<\/p>\n

\nHonourable Chief Guest Mr. Manoj Tiwari (Actor, Singer, Director & Politician) says \u201cI\u2019m so delighted to be a part of such event. It feels so great to see such energetic doctors around. In a country with such a large population one would ask what is the need for a Fertility Society, but indeed as is said that the desire to be a parent and to reproduce is innate in all human being in every cell of our body. So here in arises the need for such societies. <\/p>\n
