School, Dwarka, New Delhi, had the proud distinction of receiving the conveted \u2018Community Development Award\u2019 from a renowned and eminent personality from the field of health and social service–Padma Shree Dr Vijay Kumar S. Shah. A dental surgeon by profession who is known for his extensive work towards dental health education. Dr. Shah is the recipient of over 100 awards and honours for the laudable service he has rendered in the domain of community and social service. A patriot who found his calling upon a chance meeting with Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in 1958, he has since been lending his whole – hearted support to humanitarian endeavours, engaging students, teachers and citizens from across the country into his social crusade . He is associated with the Social Welfare Dept. of Maharashtra . Dr. Shah on behalf of the Community Welfare Foundation of India, presented a Certificate of Recognition to the Chairman, Sh. V.P. Tandon in acknowledgment of his avant \u2013 grade role towards the causes of literacy, national integration, environmental awareness, health and de-addiction.<\/div>\n

\nThe Academic Director of the institution , Mrs. Akansha Tandon, too was feted with an Appreciation Certificate in recognition of the praiseworthy contribution of the school to social welfare endeavours. Dr. Shah interacted with the school students and urged them to maintain good dental and oral hygiene.
