\n\u2018Think Green, Act Green , Eat Green and Go Green\u2019 .These are the slogansfollowed by most of the nations these days . With the main objective of preserving our environment.\u2019 N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka celebrated Eco-Week with enthusiasm from 3rd August 2017 to 10th August 2017 to sensitize the students about their responsibilities towards the environment and make the children aware about how they can play a positive role in being instruments of change .<\/p>\n

\nDuring this week students of all the classes participated in a plethora of activities such as Recycling Champion, Best out of waste, collage on endangered and extinct species of animals, Poster making ,Debates and Group discussion on Man versus Nature. Cleanliness drive was undertaken by students of class VI, the area near the school was selected for the drive .Student took out a rally with banners and posters giving message to grow and protect trees and keep our city clean. They acted locally but thought globally. During cleanliness drive the students went and met people and gave them handouts to motivate them to make their surrounding cleaner.<\/p>\n

Students of class VIII staged a \u201cNUKKAD NATAK\u201d highlighting the benefits benefit of maintaining cleanliness at public places and also describing the magnitude of the problems emerging out of unclean surroundings. They stressed on using dustbins for disposing off the garbage.<\/p>\n

The events organized for secondary and sr. secondary wing were Inter house Power point presentation on Environmental Degradation and Vanmahotsava. Students participated with full enthusiasm and it was enlightening for them as they did research and understood the need for a green and pollution-free environment for life to survive on earth. <\/p>\n

The chief guest Dr. B.C. Sabata (senior scientific officer in the environment department of Govt. of NCT, Delhi ) and principal Dr. (Mrs.) Rajee N. Kumar along with the students spearheaded this drive by planting the saplings in the school ground. The chief guest asked the students to preserve and conserve the environment and stressed the need to understand the concept of sustainable development .
He lauded the efforts of participants. In his inspirational speech, he urged the students to do their bit in ensuring that our planet continues to be a pristine place for us and our future generations to live in. <\/p>\n

In short , Eco week went a long way in making the students realize that \u2018A big difference to the lives of the dwellers of this beautiful planet stems from the responsible thoughts and individual contributions of each one of us, every day and in every way.\u2019 <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
