\nThe silence of the acclaimed Buddh International Formula 1 Circuit in Greater Noida will be once gain broken but this time by roar of mammoth engines of heavy modified trucks on March 15 . Twelve racing behemoths weighing about six tonnes each will burst into sight during the T1 PRIMA Truck racing championship being held in the country for the Second time by Tata Motors.<\/div>\n

\nThis is the spectacle fans will be treated to as the event will be the Second-ever truck racing championship to be held in India and marks another small step forward for Indian motorsport as the country increasingly asserts itself on the global motor-racing stage. The series, spanning two days, (day one March 14 will be dedicated to media) will use Twelve heavily-modified Tata Prima beasts capable of putting out 370 horsepower and reaching a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour driven by international drivers.<\/p>\n

The entire T1 race has been planned and is being executed by well known Integrated event management and marketing company T.I.C headquartered in Delhi.<\/p>\n

T.I.C has known for its innovation events and with T1 Truck racing another milestone has been crossed by the company in bringing never before experience in India. TATA Motors wanted to inspire the succeeding generations to take up Truck driving as an inspirational profession as well as wanted to address the scarcity of young skilled truck drivers in India. Based on the expectations from TATA Motors, T.I.C. came up with an idea of Truck Racing which was a popular sport in international countries. Objective was to motivate truck driving as an aspirational profession amongst youth in India.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe idea was to educate people about the profession of truck driving and its uniqueness as a career. It is no more to be looked down as undesired profession. The objective was not just to execute a larger than life event but set up a new trend of making people believe in the genre of truck driving with much sophistication. It\u2019s not just done for ROI it is a lot bigger than that\u201d, says Gaurav Dhall, Managing Director, T.I.C<\/div>\n

\nThe Tata Prima T1 Modified trucks inspected and assessed by FMSCI to ensure that they are race ready with fresh technical modifications including Optimized Drive Train for top speed of 130 kmph, Lighter aggregates for weight reduction, Lower chassis height (CG) for better stability, improved caster for better handling at high speed, New improved brake cooling system, bigger dia steering wheel for better ergonomics and efforts and New exteriors.<\/p>\n

There will be two Tata Prima races, Six \u2013 Lap Sprint Race & Eighteen -Lap Main Race; six teams will compete with each other in both races. The main highlights of the Tata Motors T1 Truck racing will be gala opening and closing ceremony with Manish Paul as a host , bollywood celebrities Shankar , Ehsaan & Loy along with performances by Badshah and Benny Dayal, Harley Davidson bike race, and merchandise shops, test drives on trucks for public & media, food court with kid\u2019s fun zone where there will be games and special cartoon characters for kids to play.<\/p>\n

\nThe T1 PRIMA TRUCK RACING CHAMPIONSHIP will witness last year\u2019s Tata T1 racing winner Stuart Oliver and other well known drivers including Olly Janes, David Jenkins,Steven Powell, Matt Summerfield, Simon Reid, Steve Thomas, Chris Levett, Ben Horne, Paul Alan McCumisky, Graham Powell and Richard Collett.<\/p>\n
