We, as policy makers, have started treating gender as the \u2018new driver for growth\u2019 Inclusive democracy can never be possible without the participation of women in everything, equally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Women-Parliamentarians-as-Change-Agents3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55201\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c We are moving towards building a women empowered India , the increase in budget for various women welfare schemes and projects The focus of our government has been on both health and education, from maternity benefits, enrolment in educational institutes, nutrition to skill education and training.\u201d Said Ms Poonam Mahajan, Member of Parliament of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) &nbsp;while speaking at a panel discussion on \u201cWomen Parliamentarians as Change Agents\u201d under the fourth FICCI KAS Dialogue Series organised by ICCI Forum of Parliamentarians and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in association with FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) here today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Women-Parliamentarians-as-Change-Agents7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55202\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are here fighting a battle to uphold strong democratic practices in our country and the path that we must follow is of \u2018politics of inclusion\u2019, not exclusion.We must come up with ideas that invite women to stand up for themselves, that encourage men to support the women and we ultimately reach a stage of holistic healthy development.\u201d Said Smt. Till the time we don\u2019t respectfully create a space for women within our societies, and change the mind-set of people, not much will change on the ground.\u201d Said Smt.
