With school vacations on, today the Fair saw kids having a field day with their parents buying their favorite books. They were also busy in a number of\u00a0\u00a0activities such as\u00a0\u00a0plays,\u00a0\u00a0puppet shows, storytelling, interactions with children&#8217;s authors, creative writing and drawing workshops, among others organized for them at Children&#8217;s Pavilion, located near Hall No. 7H.\u00a0\u00a0A large number of children from various schools and voluntary organizations also participated in these events. more than 50,000 people are said to visit the book fair today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/New-Delhi-World-Book-Fair3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55573\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Children&#8217;s Pavilion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A conversation with popular children&#8217;s author, Deepa Agarwal was\norganised by National Book Trust, India (NBT), at Children&#8217;s\npavilion.&nbsp;&nbsp;Talking about her affection for books, she said that\nstories have always fascinated her and writing them is her passion. She\ninteracted with children and gave them tips on how to create and write stories.\nChildren from Deep Foundation and Bachpan Society participated in the session.\nMs Deepa Aggarwal entertained the children with her stories of moral values and\nfriendship. Later, a dance workshop was organised by the Deep Foundation, where\nall the children participated enthusiastically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, a\ndiscussion on children&#8217;s literature was organised by Eklavya, an NGO. The\nspeakers in the programme included Deepali Shukla, Richa Jha, and Rinchin.\nDuring the session, the speakers also shared their experience\nin&nbsp;&nbsp;children&#8217;s writing. On this occasion, several books for children\nin Hindi were released like Ajooba, School Mein Taanta, Chashma Naya Hai, among\nothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/New-Delhi-World-Book-Fair5-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55575\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Theme Pavilion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National Book Trust, India and All India Confederation of the\nBlind organised a poetry session at the Theme Pavilion in which visually\nimpaired writers and poets rendered their works. They appreciated the efforts\nof Louis Braille, well-known French educationist and inventor of Braille script.\nThe speakers on the occasion included&nbsp;&nbsp;Shri Laxmi Shankar Vajpai, Ms\nBimla Negi, Dr Saraswat Mohan &#8216;Manishi&#8217;, Shri Mahendra Sharma, Dr Ram Avtar\nSharma, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/New-Delhi-World-Book-Fair4-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55574\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>International Events Corner<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A discussion on Emirate and Indian Cinema was organised at Sharjah\nPavilion. During the session, Dr Habeeb Ghloom discussed how Indian cinema has\nimpacted Emirate cinema as well as Emirate people. He informed that Indian\nactors like&nbsp;&nbsp;Hema Malini, Dharmendra, Sri Devi, Shatrughan Sinha are\npopular in Emirate. He remarked that Emirate people have come closer to Indian\nculture and people via cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/New-Delhi-World-Book-Fair6-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55577\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A discussion on &#8216;Translating our Emirate Tales for the World&#8217;\nwas organised at the Sharjah Pavilion where the speakers discussed about the\nchallenges and opportunities in the area of the translation. They observed that\ntranslation is an important platform for cultural exchange. <em>Mirrors<\/em>, a&nbsp;&nbsp;Poetry Readings\nsession and a discussion on &#8216;Cooperation between Arab and Indian Publishers&#8217;\nwas also organised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/New-Delhi-World-Book-Fair2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55576\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Literary Activities <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A conversation with Dr Q A Aashob, well-known\nauthor was organised by German Book Office at Author&#8217;s Corner in Hall 8. The\nsession was moderated by Monica Jeler. The author talked about his book&nbsp;&#8216;Open\nSecret &#8211; A Key to Success&#8217;. He discussed about how secret is something confined\nin the four dimensions of brain, but some things become too common that they\nturn out to be open secrets. The author also talked about subconscious mind.\nAccording to him, the things one sees are imprinted in the subconscious mind as\nimages and later these images get the term of words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A book release function by\nSuruchi Prakashan was organised at Lekhak Manch. Prof. Baldeo Bhai Sharma,\nChairman, NBT presided over the programme.
