Ms.\nVandana and Ms. Urmila, two students of the VTC, delivered speeches in English\nand Hindi on the life and values of Swami Vivekanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/National-Youth-Day-Celebrated-With-Enthusiasm-at-Deepalaya-Vocational-Training-Centre2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55712\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mr.\nDinesh Chandra Dewli, ex-captain of Indian Army<\/strong>,\nwho is currently working as a volunteer with Deepalaya, recited a self-written\npoem \u201cHumare desk ke yuva\u201d. This was followed by song and dance performances by\nvarious students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mr.\nRamesh Anandani, former scientist at Council For Scientific and Industrial\nResearch, was present as the chief guest <\/strong>on the occasion.\nHe delivered a motivational speech to inspire the youngsters to channelize\ntheir energy in a positive direction, and become contributing citizens of the\nnation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/National-Youth-Day-Celebrated-With-Enthusiasm-at-Deepalaya-Vocational-Training-Centre3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55713\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ms.\nAnita Rana, Assistant Manager Programmes, Deepalya<\/strong>\npresented the chief guest with a shawl (as a token of gratitude), and briefed\neveryone about the various social welfare initiatives of Deepalaya in West\nDelhi area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Towards the end, fun\ngames like lemon race and eat the fruits (without touching by hands) were\nconducted to engage the students. Prizes were also given to the winners of the\ncompetition, and refreshments were distributed to all those who those present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deepalaya Vocational\nTraining Centre, Vikas Vihar, Dwarka runs Basic and Advanced computer courses\nas well as DTP and Tally courses certified by NIIT Foundation. Deepalaya also\nruns another computer training centre at Patel Garden Dwarka, and weekly eye\ncheck up camps in collaboration with All India Institute of Medical Sciences.\nDeepalaya\u2019s vocational training centres aim at enhancing employability, skills,\nand overall personality development of the underprivileged youth of the nearby\nareas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/National-Youth-Day-Celebrated-With-Enthusiasm-at-Deepalaya-Vocational-Training-Centre4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-55714\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About\nDeepalaya<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deepalaya is an ISO\n9001:2008 certified non-government organization that believes in enabling\nself-reliance and is committed to working on issues affecting the urban and\nrural poor, with a special focus on women and children.\n\nThe NGO was started\non July 16th 1979 by seven founding members, and for more than three decades,\nhas been contributing to the crusade against illiteracy.
