We are proud to inform that India is going to be the guest of\nHonor Country in the 2019 edition of the 33<sup>rd<\/sup> <em>Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara<\/em>,(FIL) to be held from Nov 30 to Dec 8, 2019. It was\nannounced in a Press Conference jointly organised by Prof. Govind Prasad\nSharma, Chairman, National Book Trust, India and Ambassador of India in Mexico,\nSh. Muktesh K. Pardeshi in the Embassy of India, Mexico City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With over 35 authors, 15 publishing\nhouses led by National Book Trust of India; literary and academic activities\nconsisting of conferences, publishers\u2019 round table, discussions and\npresentations; 3 large exhibitions consisting of ancient and rare manuscripts,\nphoto books, wall hangings on handicrafts and painting and modern art by 40\nrenowned women artistes of India and a Festival of India consisting of\nextensive cultural programme that will include 10 concerts &#8211; folk, classical\nand contemporary; an artistic tribute to Indian literature; India will display\na wide array of its rich<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/India-will-be-Guest-of-honor-in-Guadalajara-Internatonal-book-fair-2019.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-57718\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>India\u2019s participation at FIL will also\ninclude a film festival, comprising of Indian feature films\u2019 and those based on\npure sciences; a food festival; street shows at various venues across\nGuadalajara and <em>Casa de la India<\/em>, a\ncultural hub of Indian food, handicrafts and artefacts, for sale and display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NBT, India is mobilising the\nparticipation of 15-20 publishing houses from various Indian languages.
