SPACE\nIndia<\/strong> is organizing India\u2019s largest\nstudent scientific solar expedition named as Heliodyssey 2019<\/strong>, in which\nbudding and young astronomers of our country will be provided with an\nopportunity to become a part of a solar scientific expedition and to scientifically observe and record the annular solar eclipse of\nDecember 26, 2019 from India and Sultanate of Oman. Students\nwill be working with Astronomers and scientist in study of Annular Solar\nEclipse as official student scientific expedition. Through\nthe medium of observing nature\u2019s light show- The eclipses, the program aims to\nnurture the curiosity of young minds and inspiring them to choose science as a\nlife career.<\/strong> The student will\nbecome part of this expedition only through online examination as it being the\nonly criteria for selection.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The online selection examination, SPACE\nHeliOdyssey Test 2019 (SHOT-2019)<\/strong> will be conducted at National level for\nselection of these students contingent in two groups. Top 200 students will be\nselected on merit as per the selection criteria given on the website: www.heliodyssey.org\/<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heliodyssey 2019<\/strong> aims to observe the Annular Solar\nEclipse of 26th December 2019 from Oman and Cheruvathur, Kerala. The\nexpedition team would comprise of winners of Space HeliOdyssey Test 2019\nconducted by SPACE for students of classes 6-12.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heliodyssey\nregistrations begin from August 7, 2019 and end on September 30, 2019 at 11:59<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

P.M.<\/strong>\nCurious students and budding astronomers can register for the expedition\nthrough the link provided in the website (<\/strong>www.heliodyssey.org\/<\/strong>)<\/strong>. The aspirants need to pay an application\nfee of Rs. 990 (non-refundable), which can be done through online mode of\npayment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scholarship for winners: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top Rank 1-20: -100% Scholarship for a fully sponsored scientific\nexpedition to the Sultanate of Oman<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top Rank 21-50: -100% scholarship for a fully sponsored scientific\nexpedition to Eclipse site in India<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top Rank 51-100: -76mm telescope along with scholarship in training and\neducation fees of the trip. (Students will have to pay for travel and lodging)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top Rank 101-200: 50mm refractor telescope along with scholarship in\ntraining and education fees of the trip. (Students will have to pay for travel\nand lodging)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from this a merit certificate\nwill be given to all the top 200 selected students.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
