{"id":59365,"date":"2019-10-07T19:10:52","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T13:40:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/?p=59365"},"modified":"2019-10-08T09:15:19","modified_gmt":"2019-10-08T03:45:19","slug":"ficci-flo-champions-the-cause-of-women-entrepreneurs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/ficci-flo-champions-the-cause-of-women-entrepreneurs\/","title":{"rendered":"FICCI Flo champions the cause of Women Entrepreneurs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>FICCI Flo, Mumbai\nChapter supported the initiative by partnering with Vasutra India in curating a\nspecial exhibition <em>&#8220;Remembering the\nPrincess&#8221;,<\/em> as a tribute to Rajmata Gayatri Devi, textiles and heritage\nof India, the artisans &amp; women entrepreneurship in the city yesterday.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Textile &amp; Handicraft\nremains the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> most important contributors to the Indian economy,\nmore significantly for the rural women for whom it generates additional income\nwhile staying at home.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/FICCI-Flo-champions-the-cause-of-Women-Entrepreneurs1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-59366\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition was\ninaugurated by Mrs. Mridula Sinha, Honorable Governor of Goa along with the\nmembers of royal family of Jaipur. &nbsp;Over\n40 participants from all parts of India presented their local weaves and\nhandicraft range. The exclusive preview was attended by dignitaries including\nShobha De, Rashmi Thackeray, Prasad Bidappa, Dolly Thakore, Sunita Budhiraja\nand Consulate General Of Mauritius &amp; Consulate General of Israel and many\nmore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a visual\ndelight to watch as models showcased a stunning collection from Banarsi to Kanjeevaram\nsilks, Batik &amp; kantha, to Bandhani &amp; cotton representing various parts\nof Indian textile and craft. Key women entrepreneurs who exhibited their\ndiverse range at the event included Bandana Singh from Akashi Weaves, Mala Sinhala\nfrom Buddha, Badeshi Bradbury from Indi Collage, Mama Verma, Saakshi Kulkarni\nfrom Kaale Neele, Meenakshi from Cocoon Kapas &amp; Leena Das from Village Art.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/FICCI-Flo-champions-the-cause-of-Women-Entrepreneurs2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-59367\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FICCI Flo, Chairperson Anuradha Bhatia<\/strong> said, \u201cFLO Mumbai\nChapter 2019-20. We chose to partner with Vasutra India to revive and support out\ntraditional textile and weaving industry thereby supporting a large section of\nrural women are working in this sector. Also, there are many women entrepreneurs\nwho are running this show\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vasutra India, Founder Purvi Patel<\/strong> said, \u201cFLO Mumbai Chapter 2019-20. Our theme for this year is CIA- Collaborate, Include and Accomplish\u2019. We chose to partner with Vasutra India to revive and promote our traditional textile and weaving industry thereby supporting a large section of rural women working in this sector.
