N.K.Bagrodia\nPublic School,Dwarka celebrated 150 Glorious years of Mahatma Gandhi in the\nform of Gandhi Week.The week consisted of an array of activities for the\nclasses Nursery to XII. The students of class Pre-Primary to III were shown the\nvideos highlighting the life stories of Mahatma Gandhi along with elaborated\ndiscussions on the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi under the <\/em>THEME\u2014TRUTH &NON-VIOLENCE.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nstudents of class IV \u2013V were the part of the <\/em>poster-making activity <\/em>on the topic-Mahatma Gandhi & his\nteachings. Furthermore,they were also expected todesign, decorate and discuss\nthe cut-outs of three monkeys along with the related message on the theme- Stay\nAway from Evil. The students of class VI participated in <\/em>Slogan Writing and the making of National\nMovement charts on the Theme\u2014SWARAJ & SATYAGRAH. The students of class VII\nenthusiastically took part in the <\/em>Visit to National Gandhi Museum\nunder the <\/em>THEME\u2014RELIVING\nTHE MAHATMA. The students participated in Drawing & Street play\nactivities and presented the ideals of Gandhi. They were motivated to see the\narticles and narratives on Gandhi\u2019s lifestyle, especially the Puppet show,\nrelevant to the projected theme.The students of class VIII participated in<\/em>role enactment under the theme\u2014NATIONALISM IN\nINDIA.The students showcased the presentation on the main events of the\nNational struggle led by Mahatma Gandhi, such as, the Dandi March, Non co-operation\nMovement etc. The students of class IX participated in <\/em>poetry composition on the topic Gandhi &Swachh\non the theme\u2014CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS.The students came up with\nwonderful wordings projecting the topics allotted to them. The\nstudents of class X wore the masks of Gandhi& made a <\/em>Human Wall witha message on placards under the\ntheme\u2014THERE\u2019S A GANDHI IN EVERYONE.  The\nstudents of class XI-XII    made <\/em>presentationsand held a Group Discussion on\nGandhian Philosophy on the theme-NON-VIOLENCE IN EVERY ASPECT.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students performed Gandhiji\u2019s favourite\nbhajan \u201cVaishnav Jan To\u201d & a street play on the Theme\u2014LIFE  EVENTS OF GANDHI in the special\nassembly.  The students organised an\nExhibition on the THEME\u2014A TRIBUTE TO BAPU in the SEMINAR HALL.They displayed\nwisdom Tree, 3-D models, charts,slogans,posters,masks, songs and bhajans. The\nclosing ceremony was organised in the form of an Inter-school competition on\nOctober 3rd<\/sup>,2019. The students of around ten schools participated in\nthe competitionSVIS, NKBPS Rohini,NKBGS, Dwarka,Brain International\nSchool,Indraprastha International, ML Khanna DAV, Maxfort, R.D. Rajpal,Pragati\nPublic School, and the host school NKBPS Dwarka. The students were given the topics\non Gandhian philosophy on the spot like resilience,truth, non-violence,empathy\netc. They were supposed to prepare a presentation which included the multi-disciplinary\napproach like literature,art,music and speaking skills. The closing ceremony\nwas graced by Mr Uttam Sinha, the Additional Director, National Gandhi Museumand\nMr Ansar Ali,Curator, National Gandhi Museum. The Competition was won by\nN.K.Bagrodia Public School,Rohini followed by Indraprastha International at\nsecond place. The Chief guest appreciated the efforts of the young minds and\ninstructed them to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. The week-long celebration\nofthe 150th<\/sup> Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation was celebrated\nto inculcate the ideals of Gandhi, what made him win the title of \u2018Mahatma\u2019,\nhow did he instil the fire of truth in the heart of each countrymen through his\nsheer conviction, his social as well as political ideology etc. Apart from\nthese, the idea was also to make the young students aware of their duties and\nresponsibilities towards society, environment and nation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
