With so many\nprogrammes lined up at the Children\u2019s Pavilion, and an ocean of colourful and\nattractive books for display, kids had a field day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day began at\nthe with an interactive session by Sahitya Akademi with renowned children&#8217;s\nwriters. Students hailing from Ganga Devi School, Diamond Public School, Ekta\nModern Public School, A. R. D. Public School and others were present. Well-known\nchildren\u2019s authors including Paro Anand, Abid Surti, Anil Jaiswal and Ajay\nKumar Sharma narrated stories to the children. They also talked about the\nimportance of reading books and water conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>A skit themed upon &#8216;Good Manners and\nHappiness in Life&#8217; was organized by Meraj Kids World and International School. A slogan-writing\/poster-making competition was\norganised by Kids Motivational Group at the Children&#8217;s Pavilion. The moderator,\nSanaullah Khan, described the competition as &#8216;Genius Child Creative Contest&#8217;.\nThe topic, &#8216;Swachh Bharat,&#8217; was given on the spot to the children to make children\naware about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in our country and how\nthe youth can play a vital role in bringing change in the country. Numerous\nstudents from different schools participated with zeal and enthusiasm. The Kids\nMotivational Group handed out certificates to all the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Aakriti Publishers organized a talk\nsession on &#8216;Junk Food&#8217; and &#8216;Eating Right&#8217; at the Children&#8217;s Pavilion. The\npanellists at the discussion were: Shivani, a nutritionist; Bharti, from Sophia\nPublic School; Dr. Samridhi and Manisha, dieticians. The panellists informed\nchildren that fast food may look appealing, but they always have a healthy\nalternative to it. The kids were told why eating fruits and veggies are a\nnecessity, and what exactly is the significance of nutrients for a healthy body\nand mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Theme Pavilion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A talk on Gandhiji was organised by Sahitya Akademi at\nthe Theme Pavilion.&nbsp; Dr Kamal Kishore Goenka and Shri Nand Kishore Acharya\nwere the speakers on the occasion. During the session they talked about various\nwritings on and by Mahatma Gandhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>A quiz competition was organised by the Ministry\nof Law and Justice, Government of India at the Theme Pavilion today. Over 60\nstudents from Delhi Public School, R K Puram; Lal Bahadur Shastri School, R K\nPuram and Major Ashok Sehrawat Government School, Mahipalpur participated in\nthe competition. Questions related to law, justice, Constitution of India,\netc., were asked to the participants and the booklovers present on the\noccasion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National Book Trust, India organised a Punjabi folk songs presentation at\nthe Theme Pavilion. The artists of Malwa Group, Punjab presented folk songs,\njugni, boliyan, etc. revolving around environment, conversation between Guru\nNanak Dev and Mardana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Author\u2019s Corners \/ Seminars<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A book release function commenced in the\nConference Hall on the fourth day of the New Delhi World Book Fair 2020. The\nbook named, &#8216;Govind Mishr Rachnawali&#8217; in 12 volumes was launched, written by\nthe author Nandkishor Acharya, a Sahitya Akademi award winner. The chief guests\npresent in the event included Mr. Madhav Kaushik, Mr. Kamal Kishore Goenka and\nMrs. Alka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEvery woman can manage\u201d, said Ms Rashmi Trivedi at a book discussion at\nthe Author\u2019s Corner, Hall no. 8. The session was organised by Blue Rose\nPublishers. Author of four books, Ms Rashmi in her book&nbsp;<em>Women Everything\nWill Be Fine&nbsp;<\/em>has boldly presented women as more strong and powerful\nthan men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The book&nbsp;<em>Bhartiya Sanvidhan Evam Rajvyavastha<\/em>&nbsp;was released\nat the function organized by Prabhat Prakashan at Lekhak Manch. Shri K N\nGovindacharya was the chief guest on the occasion. While interacting with the\nbooklovers, author of the book, Dr Udaibhan Singh said that the book presents\nthe different aspects related to the formation of Constitution of India, Indian\nIndependence Act and the role of Constituent Assembly of India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The books Amilcar Cablar:\nJeevan Sangharsh Aur Vichar, Kala Godi Mazdoor and Gaon Ki Awaz, published by Gargi\n&nbsp;Prakashan were released at a function held at Lekhak Manch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>In another programme\norganized by Samayik Prakashan at Lekhak Manch, books by Bhumiak Dwivedi,\nMahanayak by Sonali Mishra and Khwahishe by Garima Sanjay were released.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A symposium on &#8216;Gandhian\nPhilosophy as reflected in Odia Literature&#8217; was organized by Odisha Sahitya Akademi\nat Seminar Hall. The speakers on the occasion included Ms Jayanti Rath,\nSecretary, Shri Chandrashekhar Hota, Vijaynand Singh, executive board member,\nOdisha Sahitya Academy and Shri Amarendra Khatua. Shri Bijaya Kumar Nayak,\nI.A.S., Director, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, Govt.
