The foreign participants are\nexhibiting&nbsp;books across genres that reflect the culture, experiences and\nethos of different peoples. Many events, exchange programmes and discussions,\nreading sessions as well as presentations are being held the International\nEvents Corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Children&#8217;s Pavilion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sixth day at\nthe Children&#8217;s Pavilion, began with workshop on &#8216;Let&#8217;s Draw Gandhi&#8217;.&nbsp; Shri\nDebabrata Sarkar, well-known artist and Ms Deepa Agarawal, well-known\nchildren\u2019s author interacted with children. Deepa Aggarwal told children about how\nGandhiji followed the principle of non-violence and his role in freedom\nstruggle. A large number of children from Darshan Academy, Salaam Baalak Trust,\nRajeev Gandhi Foundation, among others were part of this drawing and colouring\nactivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An interactive session with Bravery award winning children was organised\nby Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Rouse Avenue at the Children&#8217;s Pavilion. The\nspeakers on the occasion were: Shri Harishchandra Mehra, Shri Akshit, Ms Mahika\nGupta. Shri Rajnikant Shukl, children\u2019s writer moderated the session. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>A story-weaving\nprogramme was also organized by Darshan Academy. The children were given a\nchance to explore their imagination via story writing. Shri R. N. Malviya,\nChief librarian, Ansal University was the guest on the occasion. Children from\nvarious NGO&#8217;s participated in the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A play on &#8216;Par Hamien Khelna Hai&#8217; was performed by the artists of\nWonderroom, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation at Children&#8217;s Pavilion. An adaption of\nMarathi play, written by Shrirang Godbole, it was based on incidents that\nhappened soon after the Mumbai blasts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Theme Pavilion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A quiz\ncompetition for children was organised by the Department of Justice, Govt. of\nIndia and Delhi Legal Services Authority at the Theme Pavilion. The quiz\ncompetition aimed at introducing and creating awareness among people about the\nConstitution of India, the Preamble and the Fundamental rights and duties. The\nquiz was followed by a discussion. Moderated by Shikha Hundal, legal\nconsultant, the other speakers included Kanwaljeet Arora, Member Secretary,\nGautam Manan, Special Secretary, Namrata Aggarwal, Additional Secretary and\nChandrajeet, Secretary, DLSA; Nusrat Khan, Maria Faridi, Mahima Khera, legal\nconsultants, Department of Justice and Shri Vinish and Ms Namira, law students\nNational Law School, Ranchi. Students from Govt. Sr. Sec Boys School, Vasant\nKunj, and Inderpuri participated in the quiz competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Business Meet with Trade\nPartners <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the various B2B sessions (business\nsessions) organized by National Book Trust, India on the sidelines of the New\nDelhi World Book Fair 2020, a session on Business Meet with Trade Partners was\nheld in Hall 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Seminar Hall<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A panel discussion on \u2018Mahatma Gandhi and Hindi\u2019, was organized by\nNagari Lipi Parishad at Seminar Hall. Coordinated by Dr Hari Singh Pal, the\nother panelists included Dr Panchal, Shri Narayan Kumar, Shri Acharya Om\nPrakash, Shri Shyam Sunder Kathuria and Shri Rakesh Yadav, Deputy Director,\nNBT. The discussion focused on the status of Hindi and role of Mahatma Gandhi\nin promoting Hindi. Though Gujarati was his mother tongue, Mahatma Gandhi aimed\nat developing Hindi language amongst the citizens of India during his protests\nand marches. The speakers also expressed their concern over the diminishing use\nof Hindi among youths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Author&#8217;s Corners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A North-eastern and North-regional Writers&#8217; Meet was held at the\nAuthor&#8217;s Corner, Hall no. 8. The session was organised by Sahitya Akademi and\nwas anchored by Sneha Choudhury. The speakers included prominent writers and\npoets, Shri Madhu Acharya, Dr. Sanjib Pol Deka, Shri Charan Singh Pathik, Shri\nManas Ranjan Mahapatra, Shri Saalim Salim, Shri Gagandeep Sharma and Shri Jiten\nOinamba. One of the speakers, Dr Sanjib Pol Deka narrated a story to the\naudience, titled &#8216;Shame&#8217;, in English. Shri Charan Singh Pathik enlightened the\nsession by narrating a Hindi short story, called &#8216;Kaise Udi Chidiya&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In another session at the Author\u2019s Corner, the book &#8216;The Secret of\nWinning&#8217; authored by Amardeep Thind was released. The release was followed by a\ndiscussion, where Amardeep Thind remarked, \u201cwhen you overcome your fears and\nget out of your own way, you become a winner.&#8221; The other speakers on the\noccasion included Dr Priti Nanda Sibal, Amit Chawla, Ashutosh Kant, Gurpreet,\nSuruchi Sharma and Dinesh Verma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lekhak Manch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A discussion on bilingual dictionaries was organized by\nthe &#8216;Central Hindi Directorate&#8217; at the Lekhak Manch. During the program, the\nspeakers discussed about the recently published dictionaries including\nPunjabi-Hindi Dictionary, Gujarati-Hindi Dictionary and Gujarati-Hindi\nDictionary. The speakers also shared their experience in planning a dictionary\nand its vocabulary plan. They also talked about the need to increase the\ninteraction between different Indian&nbsp;and foreign languages. &nbsp;On this\noccasion, the book,&nbsp;&#8216;Pravasi Ka Antardwand&#8217; was also released. Information\nregarding the official YouTube channel Hindi <em>Bhasha Vani<\/em> and different projects of the Directorate was also\ngiven. The speakers on the occasion included Shri Shyam Singh Shashi, Shri\nAvanish Kumar, Ms Kiran Jha, Shri Deepak Pande and Prof. Yogendra Nath Sharma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In one of the sessions at Lekhak Manch, the book\n\u2018Parikrishtha Evam Sukhi Vatavaran,\u2019 authored by Dr Sudha Kumari was released.\nShri Pratap Sehgal, noted litterateur; Shri Prem Janmejya, well-known satirist;\nPragya Rohini and Shri Divik Ramesh, well-known authors. The session was\norganized by Ashok Publications. In another programme, a discussion on an anthology of poems, \u2018Vayyu Purush\u2019 by Upendra Kumar\nwas organized by Jan Kavi Naagarjun Smarak Nidhi. The panelists on the occasion\nincluded well-known litterateurs, Shri Manager Pande, Shri Om Prakash Singh,\nShri Madan Kashyap and Shri Pranjal Dhar. Dr Dev Shankar Naveen coordinated the\nevent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A discussion on Prosperity of\nHindi along with Other Indian Languages was organized by Central Institute of\nHindi at the Lekhak Manch. Dr Kamal Kishore Goyenka presided over the session.\nThe other panelists included Dr Yogendra Nath Sharma, Prof. Chandan Kumar, Shri\nAtul Kothari and Shri Nand Kishor Pande.
