India is poised to benefit from equality where currently only 25 percent of the labor force is female. The economic impact of achieving gender equality in India is estimated to be US$700 billion of added GDP by 2025. The IMF estimates that equal participation of women in the workforce will increase India’s GDP by 27 percent.\u201d Said Ms Jayanti Dalmia, President, FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) while speaking on the occasion .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHowever, there are a number of challenges women in business face like unconscious biases, challenges in export opportunities, creating and meeting right trading partners, challenges in accessing investments and finance. FLO as part of its initiative of Empowering Women Through Trade & Business proposes to create a concerted platform for the exchange of information, experience, visibility, and connectivity among women business owners, setting the stage for new opportunities and joint ventures among women entrepreneurs and business leaders.\u201d Ms Dalmia said .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
