Mumbai chapter of the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) , the women\u2019s business wing of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) will be celebrating it\u2019s 20th<\/sup> anniversary on October 19 , 2022  . FLO Mumbai Chapter was founded by Kiran Gera in the year 2002 and today has over 300 members.<\/p>\n\n\n

Ficci Ladies Organisation (FLO) headquartered in New Delhi was established in the year 1983, as a division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) which is the apex body of industry and commerce in India. As an All India Organisation, \u00a0FLO with over 7000 members, FLO has 19 Chapters pan India. FLO represents over 7000 women entrepreneurs and professionals. The objective of the organization is to encourage and facilitate women to showcase their talents, skills, experiences and energies across sectors and verticals of the economy, for a truly inclusive economic growth trajectory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFLO Mumbai which has had Three national presidents  has always tried to create awareness and bring about change in unique ways by providing  a platform to women entrepreneurs to display and sell their products, providing skill training to women to become financially independent and create linkages for artisans to directly connect to market places and corporate houses.\u201d Said Tehmina Khandwala Chairperson FLO, Mumbai chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cFLO Mumbai has adopted villages in Palghar and Karjat where skilling centers, community kitchens, schools and computer training centers have been set up to impart skills . So that the children have a healthy living the sanitation and clean drinking water project is also running successfully. These models have been running over the years with support from the local NGOs and every year have very encouraging women participation. An Innovative Honey Beebox project has been rolled out in Palghar where tribal women are trained in organic honey harvesting.\u201d Ssid Ms Vinita Bimbhet, Former president, FICCI FLO .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 20th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary celebration on October 19 \u00a0will have leading personalities gracing the occasion including\u00a0Amruta Phadnavis, Shaina NC, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Chayya Momaya, Ajay & Ryoko De, senior and cine star \u00a0Zeenat Aman.
