The program was inaugurated by Dr. Karan Singh, former minister and ex-chancellor of JNU, who lit the ceremonial lamp amidst traditional hymn chanting.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Dogra-Samaj-Trust-Delhi-JNU-Students-Organize-\u2018Duggar-Malati-Cultural-Program1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-71022\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Tribute to Dogra Warriors &amp; Recognition of Organizers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his speech, Dr. Karan Singh paid tribute to the courageous Dogra warriors who selflessly fought for the nation and contributed to its territorial expansion. He commended the dedication and exceptional organizational skills of Shri Jitender Singh Jamwal and Mahesh Baru, trustees of the Dogra Samaj Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shri Jitender Singh Jamwal, trustee of the Dogra Samaj Trust, acknowledged the significant role played by Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman of Team Jammu, in making the event a grand success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vibrant Cultural Performances<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cultural segment of the event was a spectacular showcase of Dogri folk music and dance.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Dogra-Samaj-Trust-Delhi-JNU-Students-Organize-\u2018Duggar-Malati-Cultural-Program2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-71023\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Renowned Dogri folk singer Subhash Brahmanu from Ramnagar, Jammu, along with his group, opened the musical performances with an emotional \u2018Bhakh\u2019 song, \u2018Sade Hari Singh Raja Ji\u2019, followed by a romantic Dogri folk song, \u2018Ddu.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group then energized the audience with the lively Dogri folk song \u2018Chalge Jammu Bazaar\u2019 and concluded with a special tribute song dedicated to the Dogra Samaj Trust Delhi and JNU students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to music, an extraordinary dance performance by \u2018Natya Roots Production\u2019 was directed by renowned Jammu artist Akash Dogra. The group mesmerized the audience with popular Dogri dance performances, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Dogren Di Kuddi&#8221;<br>&#8220;Dharein Toodan Peiyan&#8221;<br>&#8220;Kala Kala Kot&#8221;<br>The grand finale with the traditional and powerful &#8220;Jagarna&#8221; dance.<br>Platform for Young Talent &amp; Soulful Performances<br><br>JNU trustee Shri Jitender Singh Jamwal provided a platform for two young artists from Jammu:<br>Mahira Tandon, who presented the energetic &#8220;Bolai Dogri Kuddi&#8221; dance.<br>Amayra Gupta, who performed the vibrant &#8220;Chooda Kun Kaddaya&#8221; dance.<br>Mohan Garg added to the cultural fervor by performing a Himachali folk song.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/dwarkaparichay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Dogra-Samaj-Trust-Delhi-JNU-Students-Organize-\u2018Duggar-Malati-Cultural-Program3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-71024\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The highlight of the evening was the soul-stirring performance by world-renowned ghazal and Dogri singer Shri Jitender Singh Jamwal.
