The global journey of the iconic Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) gained fresh momentum as Teamwork Arts unveiled exclusive previews of two major international editions \u2014 JLF Valladolid, Spain 2026 and JLF London at the British Library 2026 \u2014 reaffirming India\u2019s growing cultural influence on the world literary stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held in New Delhi over consecutive days, the preview events celebrated literature as a powerful bridge connecting nations, cultures and ideas, while highlighting the ever-expanding international reach of the Jaipur Literature Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n

JLF London Returns with a Stellar Global Intellectual Line-up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teamwork Arts hosted the exclusive preview of JLF London at the British Library 2026 at the British Council in New Delhi, offering audiences and media a first glimpse of the highly anticipated literary gathering scheduled from June 5 to 7, 2026 in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating its 13th edition, JLF London will once again transform the historic British Library into a vibrant crossroads of ideas, conversations and cultural exchange. The evening commenced with a British Council film, followed by addresses from Shannon West, Deputy Director India and Area Director North India, British Council, and H.E. Ms Lindy Cameron, British High Commissioner to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The London edition will feature an extraordinary line-up of internationally renowned writers, historians, poets and public intellectuals, including Lyse Doucet, Nikita Gill, Lucy Foley, Alexander McCall Smith, Marina Warner, Anita Anand, Tahmima Anam, Jeet Thayil, Gopalkrishna Gandhi and Sarah Churchwell, among many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s festival themes will span literature, politics, migration, artificial intelligence, cinema, food, identity, climate transition and global geopolitics. Through debates, readings, performances and thought-provoking discussions, the festival aims to create meaningful spaces for dialogue and reflection in an increasingly polarized world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supported by institutions including the British Council, British Library, Aga Khan Foundation, University of York and KIIT, the London edition continues to strengthen its reputation as a premier global platform connecting readers, thinkers, artists and members of the South Asian diaspora from across continents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JLF Valladolid to Celebrate 70 Years of India-Spain Relations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official preview of JLF Valladolid, Spain 2026 was hosted at the Embassy of Spain in India in association with Casa de la India. The event brought together diplomats, writers, artists and literary enthusiasts to celebrate the enduring cultural dialogue between India and Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosted by H.E. Juan Antonio March Pujol, Ambassador of Spain to India, the evening featured addresses by Francisco Capote, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires of Spain in India, Sanjoy K. Roy, Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, and noted author Namita Gokhale, Co-founder and Co-director of the Jaipur Literature Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 edition assumes special significance as it coincides with the celebration of 70 years of Indo-Spanish diplomatic and cultural relations. Scheduled from June 11 to 14, 2026, the festival will take place across Madrid and Valladolid, with opening sessions at the IE School of Arts & Humanities in Madrid and concluding celebrations at the historic Abad\u00eda Retuerta in Valladolid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set amidst the picturesque Campo Grande city park, the festival will feature globally acclaimed voices including Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kailash Satyarthi, William Dalrymple, Jeet Thayil, Jorge Volpi, Juan Manuel de Prada, Miriam Reyes, Tara Menon and Marta Robles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival will also showcase its specially curated \u201cFriend of the Festival\u201d (FOF) experience, blending literature, music, heritage walks, performances and the rich gastronomy of Castilla y Le\u00f3n. Michelin-star chef Marc Segarra will headline the culinary segment during the closing gala celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjoy K. Roy remarked that JLF Valladolid has evolved into an important platform for artistic and literary exchange between India and Spain, fostering deeper cultural understanding through conversations, performances and shared experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
