The publication also carries inspiring messages from Dr. Deepa Malik, Rio Paralympic silver medallist; Ted McMillan, President of the World Disability Darts Association (WDDA); Dr. Mallika Nadda; and Dr. Piyush Jain, recipient of a President\u2019s Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was also announced on the occasion that the IDDA Coffee Table Book will be formally and ceremonially launched shortly. Bijender Goel assured the delegation of his full support and active participation in making the launch a meaningful occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A visionary who has taken the concept of the Modern Pythian Games to the global stage, Bijender Goel unveiled the concept of the Modern Pythian Games in 2022 and played a significant role in bringing the revived Games to Delhi in December 2023, after a gap of nearly 1,630 years. His vision is to bring sports, art and culture together on a common platform, creating an international movement, on the lines of the Olympics, that promotes excellence, cultural heritage and global unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Appreciating IDDA\u2019s initiatives, Goel observed that integrating athletes with disabilities into mainstream sports is not merely about sports development; it is an important step towards dignity, equal opportunity and social inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting also witnessed meaningful discussions on promoting inclusion, empowerment and global cooperation through sports, art and culture, along with exploring possibilities for future collaborative initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
