Kumari Urvashi. 16 years old girl dancer, Bharatnatyam Arangetram with Nataraja Kautuvam on Rag Hamsadhwani on tal Adi dedicated to the eternal dancer Nataraja choreographed by late Guru Shri KJ Govindarajan at Delhi Tamil Sangam Auditorium. This was followed by Alarippu on Rag Nattai on tal Thrisharam, Jatiswaram on Rag Valachi and tal Adi and Varnam on Rag Desh and tal Adi. She performed Madhura Madhura on rag Athana on tal adi, Truppugazh on rag Hamsanandi on tal Khanda Chapu and finished the evening with Tilana on rag Bimplas on tal Sankeerna Triputai.
The programme was performed by the disciple Kumari Urvashi under the guidance and training of Guru Shri Jayashankar Menon, Vocal support by Shri G Elangovan, Mridangam support by Shri MV Chandrasekhar, Violin support by Shri Srish Bala Rao and programme was compered by Kumari Aishwarya Nair.

Justice Shri Dilip Raosaheb Deshmukh, Chairman Company Law Board, Shri Ashok Chawla, Chairperson, Competition Commission of India, Senior Central and State Govt Officials from Ministry of Home Affairs, BSF, NDMC etc. graced the occasion. Kumari Urvashi honored the Gurus and accompanists with bookie of flowers and gifts as mark of respect to her Gurus for giving her professional training and competence in Bharatnatyam to do a solo performance. Nrtiya (An Institution of Classical Dances) awarded the certificate to Kumari Urvashi on successful completion of Bharatnatyam Arangetram. Around 350 people present in the Tamil Sangam auditorium enjoyed the dance performance of Kumari Urvashi.
