Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector 18 Dwarka, invested its newly appointed Student Council with Prefectorial responsibilities on 27 June 2018. The beaming faces of the office bearers bore testimony to the fact that each of the well deserving student stands committed to the responsibilities bestowed.
The council members received their badges and sashes from the school Principal Mrs. Nita Arora. The Head Boy of the school Stubh Lal of XII A and the Head Girl Pragya Dewan of XII C and other office bearers reiterated their commitment and expressed gratitude to school for believing in them and pledged to keep the school flag flying high. After the entire team of more than two hundred strong members was conferred with the badges, the school principal administered the oath.
The previous year’s Head Boy and Head Girl also joined the ceremony and reminisced about their experiences of holding the posts and guided the newly elected members on how to execute their responsibilities. The school Principal in her initiation speech wished good luck to the Student Council members and advised them to keep their thinking and conscience clear. She also stated that the worth of the badge lies in taking up responsibilities whole heartedly with a sense of pride and self worth.
Om Pathak, Manishi Aggarwal and Janavi Chawla were appointed the Head Academics. Sneh Thapa and Avi Narayan Singh were appointed as the Co-Curricular Activity Heads. Sports Captains appointed were Mehul Kalra, Shivani Sharma and Sejal Rahar.
The House Captains appointed at the ceremony were Udit Gupta (Sincerity House), Shreyash Manral (Value House), Abhishek Solanki (Integrity House) and Shivay Madan (Strength House).
They all have the responsibility of ensuring a great culture of academic pursuits being given the much – needed time and attention by all.
