BJP Delhi Pradesh today organized GANDHI SANKALP YATRA MAN MAIN BAPPU programme in the 280 Mandals of all the 14 Districts of Delhi to pay tribute to the father of Nation Mahtama Gandhi on his 150th Birth Anniversary. The purpose of this programme is to create awareness for completely banning single use plastic and spread the message of cleanliness to every house hold. BJP National President & Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah launched this programme in a public meeting at Ramleela Maidan Haiderpur. Pradesh President Shri Manoj Tiwari presided over the programme & Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan also addressed the people. After that a Padyatra was started & an Exhibition based on the life of Gandhi ji was also held. These programmes will continue till 30th January 2020.

Addressing the people on this occasion BJP National President & Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah said that we have launched this programme MAN MEIN BAPPU on the 150th anniversary of Mahtama Gandhi. The entire country is remembering that great human being today who not only played an important role in making India free from British rule but also gave us a powerful weapon of Satyagrah which has the capacity to defeat the enemy without violence. Mahtama Gandhi reintroduced the cultural values of India in the entire world. This 150th anniversary of Gandhi ji is also important because Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made it a programme of every citizen of the country in place of observing it as a government programme. on this occasion he called upon crores of BJP workers that the birth anniversary of Gandhi ji should become Sankalp Varsh for all of us & we should pledged for the development of country.
Shri Amit Shah said that with the help of non violence, peace & Satyagrah Bappu forced the British Government to bow down. The thoughts of Gandhi ji are as much relevant today as they were before independence. Shri Narendra Modi is the first Prime Minister after independence that has adopted the ideals of Gandhi ji & made cleanliness a public movement. In view of water crises he formed Jalshakti Mantralya, reviewed rivers, canels, drains etc & with the grace of god the government has already conserved 95 % of rain water this year. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti we should pledged to carry bag and not to use single use plastic which this will be real tribute to Gandhi ji.
Addressing a large public meeting in Khera village Najafgarh on the occasion 150th anniversary of Mahtama Gandhi, BJP National Working President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda said that Gandhi ji played an important role in the independence of the country & former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahdur Shastri contributed in the development of India. We need to follow the principles & working style of Gandhi ji in our lives. Gandhi ji stressed upon the need of social awareness because he was of the view that we could get freedom from the British only when the country will become aware of its rights. Gandhi ji adopted truth & violence for fighting against the British because he knew that if we adopt the path of violence then there will be blood shed & the British will get an excuse of abnormal conditions to delay declaration of freedom.
Shri Nadda further said that Gandhi ji believed that wealth without doing any work, happiness without logic, religion without sacrifice, knowledge without character, trade without morality, science without humanity and politics without any principles are meaningless. If any leader has implemented the policies of Gandhi ji on the ground level after 70 years then he is Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Modi ji has made Swasth Bharat, Swach Bharat as campaign of the country. Now everybody is conscious about sanitation. When Modi ji started the campaign to shun single use plastic then the entire country pledged not to use single use plastic. Today 99 percent of the houses in the country have toilets & the people do not go for open defecation. This was the vision of Gandhi ji which has been now realized by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. On this occasion Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda distributed Khadi bags to give the message of shunning single use plastic. He also participated in the Padyatra to participate in Swachata Abhiyaan.
Addressing a public meeting in Chuna Mandi Kirti Nagar Union Minister & Delhi Assembly Election In Charge Shri Prakash Javdekar said that even after independence Gandhi ji is as much relevant as during the freedom movement. He wanted to make the people self dependent through Swadeshi Movement which is needed even today. Many countries have become independent by following the principles of Gandhi ji. South Africa’s Nelson Mandela succeeded in securing the rights of the downtrodden by adopting the method of Gandhi ji. Today we have to make our country stronger by following the path of Gandhi ji.
In a public meeting held at Chattarpur National Gen. Sec. Dr. Anil Jain said that today we need to spread the message of Gandhi ji in every town & village. When we will work to give the message of Swadesh, Swadharma, Swabhasha & Swadeshi to every house hold of the country only then we will realize the dream of Gandhi ji. He said that plastic is very harmful for our environment & health and hence we should pledged not to use single use plastic.
Presiding over the programme in Ramleela maidan Haiderpur Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari expressed his gratitude to BJP National President & Home Minister Shri Amit Shah & said that today the people of Delhi feel that what could not be done in 70 years is now been done today. Entire Delhi has pledged to shun Single use plastic. The youth, senior citizens, women are participating in Padyatra & creating awareness chanting Man Mei Bappu. He also mentioned about Bapus favorite Bhajan RaghuPati Raghav Raja Ram & VAISNAV JAN TAU TAINE KAHIYE and said that Gandhi ji wanted to financially strengthen the farmers by adopting Khadi & for making the country self dependent.
Union Minister Dr. Harshvardhan said that Gandhi ji sacrificed his entire life for the country & also served humanity. He gave the message of truth non-violence & peace to the world. He compelled the British rulers to accept his demands by Satyagrah. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has realized the ideals of Gandhi ji by his various works. Modi ji launched this campaign to spread the message of Gandhi ji on his 150th birth anniversary. We have come here to pay tribute to that great human being who was very lean and thin but had very strong will power.
