On 17 Jan 2017, N.K. Bagrodia Public School celebrated Spanish day with must zest and enthusiasm. The program was organized to celebrate the rich blend of cultures of Spain and India. While India and Spain share a healthy relationship on the trade forefront, a lot has been going on in the field of art and culture. We share a common cultural foundation as “A concerted effort to preserve our heritage is a vital link to our cultural, educational, aesthetic, inspirational, and economic legacies – all of the things that quite literally make us who we are.” The chief guest of the occasion was Senora Marta Solomon Moreno, Counsellor – Cultural and Press Affairs in the Embassy of Spain in New Delhi.
The celebration commenced with a wonderful song- “Vivir la vida” by the students of class VIII D. Thereafter a dance performance-“Pasadoble” stole the show. The poised movements and energetic footsteps enthralled the stage as the audience was left mesmerized by their performance. There was also a quiz competition where the participants exhibited their knowledge about festivals and culture of Spain, which was followed by a power point presentation to apprise the audience of the rich lifestyle of the Spaniards, and the common cultural foundation of which both the countries proudly boast about. . The chief guest of the occasion, Senora Marta Solomon Moreno, praised the participants on their commendable effort for organizing the show. She addressed the students and emphasized the importance of education. In her bilingual speech there was a special mention about her curiosity to be part of such programs in “escuelas “(schools) and amusement to be the guest a NKBPS, Dwarka. The program culminated with national anthem of Spain followed by the national anthem of India.
