Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector-18, Dwarka hosted a congregation of Thai educationists from the Secondary Demonstration School of Banondejchaopraya Rajabhat University, Bangkok, Thailand. The school gave them a traditional welcome, adorned with garlands and bedecked with the ‘tilak’, the group looked forward to a day filled with the unique and novel revelations of the Indian teaching methodologies that unfolded during their visit of the school.
The curious delegates were fascinated with the Spell-Bee competition which they witnessed in the school auditorium. They gave away the prizes to the students. The amicable lot of Thai teachers freely associated with the SVIS students and teachers. The delegates spent –the entire day keenly observing the complete gamut of activities at school.
The versatile group enthralled the students with a Thai cultural performance. A breathtaking dance by one of the teachers left the students yearning for an encore. The delegates carried an indelible impression of a school thriving in an urban populace yet preserving its traditional values and nurturing its prodigies into holistic individuals. The cross-cultural interaction was enriching for all the delegates and the school community. The school intends to take this collaboration to the next level with joint partnership of many curricular projects.
