The beauty , colour and splendor embossed a new design on the canvas of Basava International School with the celebrations of its Annual Production ‘Manthan’. Mr. Joseph Emmanuel, Joint Secretary C.B.S.E presided over the occasion as the Chief Guest . The gala evening commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by all the guests and the principal. The school’s choir group invoked the blessings of Lord Ganesha through a melodious Ganesh Stuti which filled the air with Bhakti Ras. Dr. Preeti Dodwad, Life Member,Chief Coordinator, KLE Society Schools ,Belgaum also graced the occasion and extended a warm welcome to the august gathering . She eulogized the whole school staff and the students for keeping the KLE flag high and for their commendable efforts which has made way for the school to scale heights of glory.
The General Manager of the school ,Poornima Ambli, and the Principal, Manimala Roy, also extended their heartfelt greetings and welcomed all the dignitaries and the guests present there. The Annual Report presented by the Principal highlighted the school’s efforts to inculcate in students the Analytical power, Creativity , Good communication skills, human values and firm character as these are the thrust areas of the school. It was followed by the prize distribution ceremony wherein the meritorious students received the prizes from the Chief Guest for their excellence in academics and other co- curricular activities. The Hon’ble Chief Guest appreciated the excellent performance of the school in Academics, Cultural activities and Sports- the three important areas where efficiency is required to excel in life.
Cheer and thrill filled the air as the students of the primary wing took along all to the magical fairyland of Cinderella, which was presented in a highly commendable manner of art and creativity .Whereas the senior students expressed their concerns for social evils like corruption and female foueticide and it was put forth through two well choreographed and mesmerizing musical ballets ‘ Anubhuti’ and ‘Vaya’. The thunderous appreciating non-stop clap by the gathering was quite rewarding for all the participants. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Head Girl Sahana Harish. The National Anthem marked the end of the programme.
