SPACE India is organizing India’s largest student scientific solar expedition named as Heliodyssey 2019, in which budding and young astronomers of our country will be provided with golden opportunity to get fully sponsored eclipse expedition and to scientifically observe and record the annular solar eclipse of December 26, 2019 from India and Sultanate of Oman.
To make students aware about HELIODYSSEY, a seminar was conducted at Sri Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka by Ms. Heena Bhatia, Senior Educator at SPACE India.
Students were shown a presentation and were told about the details of the project such as the registration process, online examination- Space HeliOdyssey Test (SHOT),working with Astronomers and scientist in study of Annular Solar Eclipse as official student scientific expedition.
Through the medium of observing nature’s light show- The eclipses, the program aims to nurture the curiosity of young minds and inspiring them to choose science as a life career.
