JM INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL was agog with Independence Day celebrations on August 12, 2011.The event initiated with patriotic song Vande Matram, where students of classes IV-VII instilled love for mother India, which soared high in hearts of audience as the event unfolded. Tri colours of Indian Flag, National Anthem and a harmonious song Hai Matre Bhoomi filled the atmosphere with patriotic spirit.
Flag was unfurled by the school director Mr Yogesh Gupta and school principal Ms Anuradha Govind. India’s great freedom fighters and nationalist were paid homage by children of class I. They left the audience astounding with their realistic role play, costume and confident dialogue delivery. Head Boy, Siddhant Puri, shared his views on the topic “Are we really free.” He took the audience down the memory lane, with the realization of true meaning of freedom. The show stealers were the students of medley dance performance. It comprises of various songs of national significance, conveying message of patriotism. It depicted how India is still united though it is diversified culturally, religiously and racially.
Students were abuzz with result declaration of Characterization Competition at the end by principal Ms Anuradha Govind who congratulated all for the success of event. Sarthek Arya and Tarun Negi of class III were the proud winners of First prize. Second prize scorers were Adivitya Aggarwal(V), Sanidhya Jagdish (IV) and Tanish Kaul of class III. Chaitnya Aggarwal(V) and Aeshiti Patel (V) bagged third prize. Not the least, Students and the staff enjoyed sumptuous lunch hosted by school management.
