Lohri was celebrated at The Indian Heights School, Sector-23, Dwarka, with a lot of exuberance and fanfare on January 13, 2014. The mood on the campus was upbeat and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. All the pre-primary and primary students and teachers took part in the celebrations enthusiastically. The celebration started with “Lohri Poojan.” Principal, Ms. Archana Narain lit the bonfire and encouraged the students to value their cultural heritage. The students and teachers danced on the songs immersed in rich cultural folklore of Punjab. They had a gala time as they danced around the holy bonfire and offered their prayers. The festival of Lohri was celebrated with great pomp and show. Last but not the least; students were given groundnuts, revri and popcorns in handmade paper packets which were made by the teachers.
